I've been reading up on it and it seems that if the Black Doodle carries the Poodle's recessive blue/silver gene, they can have blue'ish skin and over the years they can start to almost turn Silver or white in places. This seems to be happening to Brontë, you can actually see them increase on her as the days go by, all along her back, down her legs, and on her face now. I can't wait to see how it turns out, whether it'll stay black with like a salt&pepper or if she'll go rather silver? xo
It was really weird. I had to clip him pretty short because he got matted when we had him boarded and once i had his fluff cut off i saw a lot more of the hairs. they were hidden.
OK, I just can't help myself.... Poor Cubbie and his random white hair showing up on places on his body. Aaah I know his pain ! LOL
Cubbie is 4 and I have started noticing more white hair showing up in random places on his body. I know that i have seen black labs that get really grey on their muzzles but I don't know that I have ever noticed it on their legs. can you post a picture?
Mya is three and she was coal black, now her front legs are turning grey. She still is beautiful and we are watching if any other part of her starts to grey up. Is this normal withblack goldendoodles????
