Lol, I'm a bookaholic also, but will try the library first so that I know I like the series. Unfortunately, even the library couldn't get the Anna Belfrage. When the librarian found out about them, she was all excited because she was a big Outlander fan, too. Amazon.....2 day delivery, gotta love it.

Now I have to order Anna Belfage's series!  Back to Amazon. :-}  I am truly a book-aholic!

Agree with Carla!  I also have all of the Anna Belfrage series, just got the latest.  Also an excellent series.

I hope you all love them as much as those of us who read them do. I also do what Mary does... I compare every other book I read to this series. There is another author whose characters are just as endearing and remind me so much of Diana's books. Her characters come to life and you feel like family as you read her books just like Diana's Outlander series. Anna Belfrage's The Graham Saga. It is also time travel, historical fiction but not as long and a lot easier to read.

Thanks for the recommendation, Mary.  My husband is already on book three so I ordered 4 - 7 on Amazon today.

Nancy (and Cathy), the Outlander books are, by far, a better read than watching the series....although the series is great.  Episodes 1 to 8 are available on DVD already.  All very long....8 in all, more on the way, but very very worth it.  I compare every other book I read to this series.  I started reading in about 20 years ago with the original. This is the only set of books that I've ever had the desire to reread.

Nancy, this past weekend I saw Outlander was on the Stars channel, which I don't normally get but is on some kind of promotion right now. Anyway, I enjoyed watching most of the shows 1-9. They reminded me of the old Jude Devereaux or Lindsey ? (can't remember her last name), historical romance novels. I hope to read the book soon as well!

I am finally getting around to reading the Outlander series.  I wish we got the station that the series is on.

Lynda, the Twilight series was popular several years ago. They were made into movies as well.
