Where is the romp going to be? I'm in Central Austin, but went to school in G'town.

Sounds like fun. Georgetown would be fine with me, but how about scheduling it a little later this time -- after 10 am?

I live in Pflugerville and have 2 labradoodles 9 months old. I wasn't that thrilled of how our last groomer cut their hair. Does anyone in the North Austin, Pflugerville, RR or Georgetown area have a groomer that is familiar with labradoodles and doesn't go over board especially in the facial area ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Turns out, Billy had fleas! Even though he gets his monthly Frontline tab, he still had an infestation. After a Cortisone injection, flea medication and antibiotics for the secondary bacterial infection, and a whole bunch of good-boy cookies, he's back to his usual self. He seemed to be really down and out for a few days last week-- I think he had an intestinal problem at the same time. I treated him with ProMeris for the first time today, since he regularly goes out to the country with us on weekends. He's all Mr. Personality again now, and his scratching has really gone down to minimal levels.

Thanks Sara. It really seems to run in cycles, which makes me believe it is seasonal, as allergies tend to be especially in Texas. I'm reading the "Doodles and Allergies" forum for some other ideas. I don't like medicating him either (giving him Benedryl), but I hate seeing him miserable too...

Curious about scratching remedies -- does anyone have any good cures? Billy is going through a bout. Many times, it's cured by taking him to the groomer. He seems to get a few eruptions with the scratching - small, scabbed over spots that feel like bumps through his fur. Has anyone else experience this?

Jenel, is Linda going to be able to make the Oct 4th doodleromp in Georgetown? We are just heartsick about missing it and are trying to re-arrange our plans for that morning. How late do you think you'll be at the park?

I dont exactly live in Texas but my doodle came from there!! We live north of the Red River in a place called Oklahoma!! We got Fiona from Timshell Farms and LOVE her to death. She is a very grand addition to our family.

Hi everyone! I live outside of Georgetown. I am a Labradoodle breeder and am glad to join the group. I think we will be able to attend the romp this month. Hope to see you all there!
