Natural light is the best, outside in your yard, or light coming in through the window should work.  If he is moving around, use the sport option on your camera if you have that option.

I'm home with my chocolate boy, Riley and I need a little help taking photo's of him!  Everyone is waiting for pictures and I am trying but lots are coming out too dark.  Any advice would be welcome.

Ps He is adorable and we are all in love with him

So, I see all these posts about our chocolate's lightening up.  I'm so curious to know what Rosie will look like as she grows.  Her mom was very dark choc when she was young and then lightened to almost a silvery.  Her dad is an Choc Australian.  Any thoughts?

Nicky - Rooney was so dark brown as a baby he looked almost black.  He has lightened up to a reddish brown but not so much on his head.  So yes your puppy probably will lighten but maybe not as much as you think.  It is so fun and watch and see.

My puppy was born yesterday and he's Chocolate.  Mum is Cafe (bbEe) one of her parents was Cream and the other Black/white parti.  The Dad is Lavender colour and both his parents were lavender.  

I'm thinking that no matter how dark he is to start off he will probably fade, what do you think?

I will have pictures next week!

Hello all. Love the chocolates!
When looking for a labradoodle I knew chocolate was the only way to go for me. (We had a chocolate lab we adored for 13 years) Then, when we saw Luke- it was love at first sight! After getting him home (we've had him for 2 1/2 weeks) we couldn't be happier!

They have that effect on you all right! We have been sick at our house and call our doodles "Care Doodles" because they have been at our side constantly. HOndo even insisted on bringing in my medicine when my husband went to the pharmacy. He got the bag and brought it right to me. How did he make that connection?

Well duh, it's about time I joined this group. We recently moved and I am now officially a bum so I have all kinds of time to enjoy Doodle Kisses...so much more than before. Nice to meet everyone. (well eventually) Look at all the yummy chocolate doodles here.
