Oh gads! Hondo and Koda are the old guys in the chocolate doodle group. Everyone else are youngsters - only one or two years old.

Sasha is a chocolate cafe. Sasha color is chocolate indoors; however, when she's out in the sun you can see her color is becoming lighter. She also has lots of cream color strands of hair throughout her body. I was told that the final color change won't take place until she's 2 years old. That means I have another 7 months to go. I can't wait to see Sasha's adult color.

My Lucy is a mess! She is 4 1/2 months old and I love her to death! She's an f1b with very curly hair. She' a digger!!!! I can't eait for her adult hair to come in.

thanks for the combing advice. I usually do groom him with a comb, and I am seeing more hair come out than when he was younger. I'll also check out the Oster Course comb.Thanks

Hi, we have two chocolate doodles. A 14 month old standard F1 labradoodle, and a 12 week old medium F2 labradoodle. I just posted pictures of them in the Pictures discussion. Hartely is the long lost twin of Adrianne's Samantha - they look so similar!

I just want to tell you to be careful and make sure you comb the hair from the skin out. Louie will be if not already starting his coat change and that hair mats very quickly with the puppy hair.. Puppy hair is very soft but when adult hair comes through the same spot as the puppy hair it will tangle up together, it starts around the belly and sides. Take sections and pull down a little at a time with a comb, I like the Oster Course comb and starting from the skin comb out a little bit of hair at a time.

He is pretty big- but most of it is hair! His hair has never been cut, except for the required face and feet trims. He weighed 56 lbs at the vet a few weeks ago, but he really doesn't seem that heavy to us. Maybe the vet's scale was off. He doesn't eat a lot, so he is not overweight. His parents were both around 55 lbs.
