That is so sweet! I didn't know that the puppy was not even born yet. You really are "expectant parents". The eight weeks from the time he/she is born until you get them will seem like a lifetime! Does your breeder live close enough that you can have visitations?

Thanks for your reply Lynda :) although we dont know if our f1b will be more poodle than doodle until he/she is born (in 3 weeks !!!!!) lots of your photos of f1b's seem to look more "poodley" :) but I really dont mind just itching to see our puppy Doodle !!!

Sassy really is more poodle than doodle. Her mother is a mini goldendoodle and her father is a mini poodle, so she is 75% poodle!

IMG_2408.JPGThis is a picture of Groucho out on a walk. Doesn't he look more like a poodle?

The groomer thinks Matilda is more Poodle. She's more laid back and listens, but when it comes to retreiving she definately is Lab! lol She could retreive for hours!

WOW! I thought my doodle was the only who acted more like a poodle than a doodle! Ruthie is 75% poodle! She can jump and turn herself around in mid air with no problems and she is clown-like! She will stand and walk on her hind quarters (not for long) but she will. She also watches TV and will "dig" through her basket of toys to find just the right one that she is looking for. This is so cool!!!

My Rags, is definately a lot of poodle, she is light on her feet and smarter than any other dog I know. My trainer even calls her a poodle, and almost denies that she has any Lab in her.

I think most of the dogs who qualify here are F1b doodles. Groucho Too is an F1b that would definitely look more like a poodle with a long tail if we clipped him like a poodle. He is an absolute dear and so loving. He would like to have someone petting or scratching him constantly (isn't that a poodle trait?). His coat is a little thinner than that of a poodle. His father is a standard phantom poodle, and he looks identical to his father. His mother is a goldendoodle (tricolored). She just had her fourth litter with the same sire, and all of her puppies look like him (phantom coloring). Genetics is so interesting.
