I'll start working on some dates in May. We have an art sale at our house on May 2, and everyone's birthdays are the last week in May, so maybe about the middle of the month. Yes, we love Big Sur, but it is pretty far south for people from the Bay Area, but some may be willing to come to Carmel or Monterey.

I would love to come to Monterey in May for a labradoodle romp. We would probably just come for the day but we may also stay over one night and go wine tasting in Carmel Valley. We stayed in Carmel Valley last year and loved it. But camping is always fun too :) If you drive further south, Big Sur has some wonderful campsites....

i have a class on Saturday from 10-4 and therefore can't go. My boyfriend was going to go to the romp in Davis that day but he may as well stay close to home. I sure wish I could be there to meet the Harmony Labradoodles but I will have to trust him to take lots of pictures and ask questions! I've been going through the Harmony website and like what I see but I don't want to rush into anything....

We haven't heard anything more about Gromit. I hope he is OK

Hi Cindy - You should be able to get some good leads at the doodle romps. We are coming to the one in San Jose next weekend. We had a great walk today in Monterey. There is a park there that is very dog friendly and has camping available. I think we will set up something maybe in May for a day in Carmel and Monterey. People will be able to camp, rent a motel (dog friendly) or come for the day. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Kiley will be at the San Jose romp with more of her doggies. Try to come if you can. They really are beautiful.

I haven’t heard of Cherry Valley, but you can ask on the Southern CA group site (on Doodle Kisses), someone might know. Also there’s a central CA site, and a Sacramento site! Also some breeders have their own DK group sites where littermate owners chat with one another. Just look thru the group listings (http://www.doodlekisses.com/groups) and you’ll find all sorts of stuff! :)

The Austrailian Labradoodle breeder websites seem to have a little more consistency in the look of their dogs. Is this typical? Anyone familiar with Cherry Valley Labradoodles in southern Ca? sooo cute!

I'm so bummed I missed Harmony's pups today. Looks like they have another litter coming in two weeks :) and Los Altos is so close to Los Gatos :)

Poor Gromit! and poor Jennifer!!! Hopefully that little pup is getting all of his hard knocks out of the way. Keep us posted. We are all hoping for a speeding bounce-back from that little guy!
