I spoke with a rescue friend of mine in PA this morning about the AH dogs. She told me it seemed the puppies were multigen doodles as no labs or goldens were confiscated.

Marla, we have 3 separate discussions going in the main forum about the closing of AH, and about the 285 dogs which were seized. Info on where to contribute as well as where to adopt are porvided. This is great news, indeed.

Almost Heaven, where my doodle was born (though adopted through a shelter), was closed. There are 200 dogs (poodles, danes and doodles) up for adoption starting tomorrow! I thought someone might want to know. They have wonderful temperments!!!!

May 15th was my Lily's 1st birthday! She is an absolute joy and DH, Zeke & I can't imagine our lives without her! Lily is not crazy about being still to have her picture made but I did manage to get a few, although she doesn't look happy, she really is a party girl.

We attended the Doodle Romp near Atlanta! It was awesome, oodles of doodles. There were 2 or 3 that looked so much like Lily I mistook them for each other a few times. I talked with the owner of 2 of them and he thought our dogs might be from the same litter, but we discovered they had different birthdays. He did give me the name of his breeder so I may contact her for possible clues to Lily's background. Something else I learned about Lily is that she is not the most hyper doodle on the planet! She fit in very well with the well behaved crowd very nicely!

I'm so excited! I just found out a doodle romp is being held in or near Atlanta where I got Lily. It would be wonderful if anyone there knows any information about her or her previous owner.

Miss Lily was the "Queen of the dog park" today! Everyone wanted to know what kind of dog she was and wanted to touch her. Zeke was along on this trip also but since being sheared people assume he is a poodle. Lily is so social with all the other dogs and people it was a joy to see her shine.

Welcome all! Our group is growing, adding new members at a steady pace. Please anyone feel free to add a discussion that interests you conserning rescued doodles. It's safe to say if it interests you it most likely will be of interest to another rescue family.

Lucky Budda! Isn't it wonderful how they give so much to us when we think that we are rescuing them. Congratulations on your new family member. Your children will have loads of fun growing up with Budda.
