Oh good! I knew that you were hoping he'd get a little bigger. (He was about 16 pounds the last time we talked about weight). I just weight the pups and was a bit shocked at Kona's weight! Yikes! He stayed at 24 for so long that I just assumed that was it for him. He just weighed in at 29 pounds! And Maggie was 31.2. I'm not shocked at her gaining 1.5 pounds because of her mixed breeds and athleticism, but Kona? Yikes! That boy needs to run more! He's gained 5 pounds!!! Maggie runs like the wind at the dog park and in the yard, while Kona runs to the nearest lap, and in my yard, he makes Maggie do all of the fetching and then she brings it to him to wrestle over.

Yes. He fluctuates between 20 and 21 lbs.

Candace...I live 20 minutes down in San Diego (Point Loma). I have a groomer who knows how to do Doodles. She did Gracie Doodle for the first two years and I have been doing her the past 5 years. So, I haven't seen her work lately but a lot of my friends use her still. It is Maggie's Farm Natural Pet Grooming in Point Loma on 1902 Rosecrans St. The owner is Kristen and she is the only one I let work on Gracie. If you mention my name...she knows me. Helga, those photos are great. Nimbus cracks me up in his scraggliness. How much does he weigh now? He looks bigger! Did he ever reach 20 pounds?

Candace, have you tried the grooming forum? I'm in Long Beach, CA so I can't help with groomers further south, but maybe the grooming forum has some location specific tips.
