Tonight, I will be lifting my glass to Amy, Cubbie & Ollies' mom. Here's why:
Some of you may remember a recent Yappy Hour where I bemoaned the lack of lime flavored candy. It seems that the green lime flavored candy in many popular candy "blends" has been replaced by green apple or watermelon. I love lime and dislike these new flavors.
Late Monday afternoon, I got a package in my mailbox from Amy. Inside was a big assortment of different kinds of candy. I was baffled at first; why was Amy sending me a gift, and why candy? Had I missed a new DK game or raffle? Then I noticed that a lot of the candy was green. I looked closer, and...YES!!!! Lime! Some of it was just lime flavored, and some of it had a mixture with lime included! I was in Heaven! I got a bag of lime jellied fruit slices,a bag of lime flavored miniature Tootsie rolls, a box of Good & Fruity, a bag of skittles, a package of Razzles, a roll of Charms (haven't seen Charms since i was a kid!), and a package of Sunkist Citrus lemon-lime gum.
So my first drink tonight will be in honor of Amy, and her memorable "two limes and a ripe banana" comment, lol.
You had to be there.
