- About Me:
- I live and work in Richmond Virginia with my daughter and my partner. I am originally from Grinnell Iowa but moved out here some 11 years ago and I love it. I work for an ASI company were I am a digitizer/purchaser/manger and in general whipping post for all. I also have a side business of landscaping which quite frankly I am rather lazy about. I love doing that type of work but lack motivation to go get more customers. (at least I am honest) We do a lot of work on our home as well as our rental and keeps us very busy. I enjoy going to the gym, playing/coaching/watching flag football. I also like shopping (who doesn’t) going to the movies, long walks, vacationing, hanging out with friends and my family and going to concerts of any type. Right now my passion is for my doodle. She has recently received her CGC and now we are trying out agility. This fall I look to try “tracking” and see if she like that. Basically, anything that I get to do with her is fun for me. She is a joy and I am a gushing parent to her. I feel very luckily in the fact that I get to bring her to work with me most of the time. I have cut back some as to not spoil her though….he hee hee. But as everyone knows that knows me…she has brought me great joy and love…she is my buddy!

- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- For several years now I have wanted a doodle. The time just was finally right and have never regreted it for a moment. I also have allergies so that played a big factor in this but mostly it was because I have a friend with a Goldendoodle and feel in love with her personality. They are sooo great! Stella is from Old Mill Doodles in Staunton Virginia.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Go to the park and play in the creek or the river or the beach. Anything with water is always great! We go for walks around the hood. and to the pet stores, home improvment stores, out for ice cream. We also go to training. We have been through obedience and now we are in agility at All Dogs Play Skool.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- I do
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- Food wise she eats Canidae. Just recently changed and making the move to all natural and organic treats.
And Buddy Wash... I love that stuff it smells so nice.

Saving Stella...Xylitol

I’m going to try and be brief here. Stella the Wonder dog ate 5 pieces of gum over the Christmas vacation. No big deal right? Well, Xylitol is an ingredient in most sugarless gum now and it can kill your dog if it’s ingested. The new Ice Breakers, Ice Cubes made by the Hershey Co. has some of the highest levels of Xylitol out there. But, it is in all sorts of “sugarless” products. She even knows to Catch, Back-up and High Fives
She knows when I am sad or need a kiss and hug
All the cool emotional things that doodles just know
Sometimes I swear she even knows what time it is
So, In turn I feed her good food
Take her swimming at the lake
Go for long walks with her
Play fetch with her til I'm bored to death
I bring her with me for car rides
