About Me:: I'm married to a wonderful doodle dad. Between the two of us we have 7 wonderful kids from 18-35 and 2 grandchildren. Now we sre just WAITING for the "empty nest". All we want is two cars, two drivers and a dog (maybe two).

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Maddie is a labradoodle. We were so blessed to receive "Madeline" when she was 2 1/2 as a rehome/rescue. She is now 5 and we can't imagine life without a doodle in the house. She is such a sweetie and she wants to greet EVERY person she sees but she is reactive around other dogs.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Rescue, Rehome

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Labradoodles are just so darn cute and lovable but was not ready to spend the big bucks to get one. Then....A friend of someone my daughter worked with was getting Maddie from a bad situation and trying to find a home for her instead of taking her to a humane society she worked with.
Now, I'm am definately hooked. DOODLES FOREVER !!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Take walks , play fetch with plush toys inside. Outside her favorite thing is playing with empty milk jugs

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Bark-A-Lounge

Patience Pays Off For Maddie

Maddie loves to sit at the end of our patio (esp in the evenings) to watch over her domain in hopes some kind of animal dares to enter. Her patience paid off AGAIN. She came to the back door with another opossum in her mouth. Standing there so proud of herself she looks so cute..... but YUCK. I told her to drop it and come in the house, which she did. Maddie, the hunter was at it again. This evening she came to the sliding glass door and I let her in only to see a small baby animal of some kind on the step. I couldn't tell what is was without looking really close which I didn't want to do. I call DH to get rid of it while Maddie went into the livingroom.
