Cooper has us worried. He has lost a little over 4 lbs in the past 6 weeks. Had another seizure. Seems lethargic a lot of the time. When I talked to his Dr. today, she suggested that I bring…Continue

Cooper went to see his General Vet today for a problem with his Anal Glands and he is starting to feel very relaxed there. Thank goodness! He was so relaxed that I was able to take this picture. …Continue

Hello all. It seems that I am always here when I have medical news to report about Cooper, but somehow I just feel it is important to share his story and if it helps convince others who might be on the fence about getting pet insurance to take that step, then it is worth it.
Cooper had surgery today. He tore his ACL. We are now calling him our million dollar dog. He hasn't really reached that much in expenses, but it seems that way. :-) Poor dog has been through so much with…

We recently celebrated Cooper's 3rd Birthday! He loved his gift. He played with it for about 10 minutes, then carried it up to the couch and snuggled up for a nap. He carries it around everywhere now. That is the test of a great toy for him! …

We can "compare notes" anytime. Cooper is a cutie. We have a dog named Copper who stays with us frequently, and he is a large red labradoodle.
He really is a mix of Ned and Clancy. Ned has more of the poodle body but Clancy has the retriever shorter legs, heavier body build. He weighs 60 pounds but isn't that much taller than Ned. Cooper looks so puppyish but is only a year younger than Ned and Clancy. He is just so cute.
Cooper is adorable. I LOVE his coat with the looser curls. He is a Clancy/Ned combo! How big is he? Ned is 28 pounds. Springers are just the best dogs, but too high energy for us now that we are older and our kids are grown and gone. Trucker is an especially appropriate name for a Springer. I must have lucked out with both of our doodles because they are not the high energy dogs so many doodle owners describe.
And thank you for the compliment! Cooper is adorable! And Libby wants you to know that she roots for the Ohio State Buckeyes every Saturday! Who knows, you might really be from Michigan but she insisted I tell you!
Hi Martha - it will be 8 weeks tomorrow. The original surgeon's instructions said no jumping or playing for 12 weeks, so we'll see what she says at the final appointment (hopefully the final one)! She has been to physical therapy 5 times and we do the exercises as much as possible at home, too. She has done the hydrotherapy tank all 5 times at PT, which she hates, but she did do it. We have such a fear of her hurting the other knee and the PT is good for both legs. She is so bored, though! And even needier than she normally is, but that's our fault!!!!! :) Thankfully she is doing well - how is Cooper doing?
Hi Martha! I just realized I must have missed the results of Cooper's last liver panel that you had done in May. I can't seem to find it. How is he doing?
Thank you for the friend request, Martha. I think of you and Cooper often and hope all is well with you both
