"We have friends looking for an ALD breeder in New England. Wally's breeder is no longer in business and Charlotte's doesn't have any current litters. Does anyone know of a breeder to recommend? Thanks!"

"Well, I guess there are some ALD people out there!  Harpo, our ALD, is a great little dog and Charlie (my husband) says he is perfect - perfect size, perfect coat, and perfect disposition.  It is hard to do better than this pup."

"Welcome to the group. Two of my doodles are ALDs. If I were purchasing a puppy, multigenerational ALD from a reputable breeder is where my money would be spent. As Maryann said, ALDs have more predictability. "

MONDAY MORNING IN THE WHELPING BOX

Morning light paints the nursery buttery yellow.

One week old puppies sunbathe in the warmth, suckling Glory's milk.

I sit in the whelping box

touching silky heads the color of butterscotch,

and thank God for their lives and mine

awash in contentment.

Hi Patty, Just wanted to tell you that we're in Ogunquit for our two-week vacation and Emma is really the hit of town! Everywhere we go, people guess as to what breed she is and she absolutely steals their hearts. Though I was worried about bringing her to new surroundings, she has adapted beautifully and really seems to be enjoying the Maine air (maybe she remembers where it all started)! It's hard to believe it's almost a year since she joined our family, and I want you to know that we love her very much and are so happy she has become such an important part of our lives.

Patty, I was checking out different pages on DK this morning and I had never seen your page so I decided to check out your website and was looking at your breeding ladies and gentelman. They are all sooo precious, but that Maybelle is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Her eyes look like they could see right to your soul. How lucky you are to share your home with such beautiful doodles! Keep up the good work!
