I have posted about how Chester is scared to go out to do his business at night.

He pees on the lawn but likes to poo on the side of the road. Lately he has been nervous and won't go down the road- and sometimes he takes his favourite bear out. We live outside Halifax and have woods with animals and our yard isn't fenced.

I have gotten a lot of support from the wonderful network on DK  and I am working on some of the suggestions.It is nice to know we aren't alone.

So the other day Smudge and I went to my sisters for a play date with her Daisy doodle.  Now my sister usually comes here with Daisy for play dates, but Smudge and I went there instead because she needed help moving some furniture.  So Daisy and Smudge were playing and running and having a blast when I looked over and on the bench by the window was her cat, Sassy just snoozing away.  I said to my sister, "Smudge hasn't seen Sassy there yet, I wonder how she will act…

Ah, me!  It's been so long since I posted here on DoodleKisses!  This last year seems to have gotten away from us, but please don't think we've deserted you.  While I haven't been that active here lately, the pups and I have lurked on a regular basis and stayed in touch with those of you who have been so nice to email and comment on our page.

In December of 2010, my SIL met Cubbie and it was love at first sight.  They already had 1 dog (a female black lab) but she told my brother that she had to have a doodle too.  He just laughed at her but I don’t think he realized just how contagious doodles can be.  They got married in September 2011 and they decided that they were going to wait a year before the considered getting another dog, but again they didn’t realize how contagious doodles can be.  As of February 20, 2012 they have…

Wilson and Murphy had a playdate today with Wilson's littermate, his sister, Indie and Murphy's full brother from a different litter, Tyler.  All four have the same daddy so they are all siblings/half siblings.  It was almost too much cuteness for me to handle.  They are all so sweet, smart and cute.  Wilson's sister is Murphy's color and Murphy's brother is Wilson's color.  Whole bunch of cuteness :)   Now if only it had not been 34 degrees and raining.…

Houdini Dog Strikes Again:

I went into the living room yesterday, and couldn't figure out why there was a half a small bag of M&M's on the floor.  Looked under dining table, and there were bits of gum wrappers and torn napkins.  Didn't take Columbo to figure it was Riley, getting into my wife's jacket pocket.  She always has treats,candy and gum in her jacket pockets.  Other than knowing where items came from, there was no physical evidence left at the scene.  My wife's jacket…

Well as some of you know I have been on a desperate search for a new Vet for Daisy.

Because of her extreme shyness and fear to new situations and people I have gotten "less" than what I would expect from Vets. One went as far as saying "Wooooooo", for a long time and putting his hands up and backed off, when she barked at him giving Daisy complete control over the situation. This Num nut and his technician (who rolled her eyes) put a towel over her eyes to shoot the Bordetella vaccine…
