Our dogs have the biggest basket full of toys in our living room. Vern loves to pull the toys out and put them all over the house. Well, I have finally achieved my goal of becoming a Hopeless Doodle Addict on DoodleKisses. Maybe I should say I have been recognized publicly as a HDA, because my family has known this to be true for quite some time. This morning, Fudge, Vern, and I were all in bed. All of a sudden, Vern looked up and noticed the ceiling fan. We run the fan year round, so it is not like it is something new. Well, he reared up and backed up and then turned and ran right at me for protection.  It was almost a slinky, low to the bed, kind of run and he looked petrified. Vern is watching the Grammys with me, while Fudge snoozes beside us. Fudge goes to bed early, so she misses a lot of shows at night. So far, Vern does not like Mick Jagger. He started panting...I think he thought Mick's pants were too tight or maybe Vern was just hot. My day started when Vern fell off of the bed while sleeping. This scared him to death and he ran as fast as he could over to my side of the bed for a hug. Fudge stood up to see what all the commotion was, gave him a look like, "how stupid can you be?" and went back to sleep. It was just going to get worse for Vern, because he had to go to the groomers today. I used to schedule the dog's grooming appointments on the same day, but I really like spending one on one time with each of them, so…

My dogs are getting less and less walks these days because everywhere I go it is icy. We have been going to the nearby tennis courts and letting them run, but that is getting old.
