Today is Quincy's second birthday. He has, from the beginning, firmly planted himself in our hearts and our home. Quincy gives us joy every single day. The two year mark also means he is officially no longer a puppy! There are things I will miss, others, not so much. Most recently, he has earned free roam of the downstairs when we leave for work with no naughtiness (at least not yet!). Happily, we will disassemble the huge monster crate that resides in the LR this weekend. He loves…

Hello, its us: PB&J southwest doodle division reporting in.
As our mom already posted, we are getting a brand new backyard. We are pretty stressed out right now. There are a lot of scary guys ripping things up, moving things, building things. We feel the need to protect our castle so we are barking our heads off inside. A lot. Mom wants ear plugs. We are just trying…

Today was my girl's second birthday! I remember my excitement the day she was born and the day we got to pick her up. We had just moved into a new apartment and I had two months off of school to train and bond with her. I knew she was the one when I went to visit the litter. All of her brothers and sisters were untying my shoes, nipping at my shirt, and jumping on me. My Lily quietly took my keys, hid them, and then came to snuggle up against me. The rest was…

Milton just keeps dropping tennis balls wherever he so pleases.
Jeff's jeans |
This tennis ball placement appears to be quite intentional because as soon as Jeff goes to put on his…

I grew up in a suburban area and never saw much wildlife out and about in our neighborhood. When we moved to our first house, also in Suburbia, I came home one night and couldn’t believe the number of frogs or toads (just to keep Pat off my back) lined up on the walkway leading to my house. Not having much experience with frogs and…

Our rescue group received a mother (Maltese-Mix) and a litter of four puppies from a woman who said that she rescued them from an abusive home. She told us that she wanted the mother but would surrender the puppies to us and we could have the mom as long as the puppies needed her.
The mom (Molly) is a wonderful girl and was a wonderful mother to her litter of puppies. However she had some symptoms that really worried us. She would cock her head to the right and often spin…

The other day I got a "friend request" from Cheryl which I of course accepted wondering what it was all about. Immediately I found out that she was going to be visiting family not too far from me and wondered if we could get together on such short notice.
Sunday afternoon we met at a park that was about half way between where she was visiting and where I live. Cheryl had googled parks and found this one which I had never been to. It was a beautiful park with nice hiking trails. We…

I hope everyone is doing well these days. I try to pop in when I can - life is busy! But good!
I wanted to give you an update on Peri and Taquito and our human child, Charlotte.
Peri is the best doodle on earth. She is still a feisty girl - my neighbor asked me if she was 1 years old recently and when I replied with "5" she about fainted and said "wow she has a lot of energy"! She continues to be the best big sis to Charlotte and cares so deeply for Taquito,…

Two years ago today marks the most important date of my life. Am I referring to my wedding anniversary? Nope! On June 1st, 2012, Jeff and I brought home our baby boy, Milt Dog. He's grown up with us, and we are proud to call him our own.…

Milt Dog just loves to spend quality time in our foyer, his room of the house. Usually, he lies with his nose pressed to the window ready and waiting to defend with a mighty bark, but occasionally he rests further back in the room to take a little snooze break from security duty because, well, it can be stressful at times.…
