Things I Must Remember As A Dog



(In order to keep my present living arrangements)



The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.

I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying under the coffee table.

I will not roll my toys behind the fridge, behind the sofa or under the bed

I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house.

I will not eat the cats' food, before they eat it or after they throw it up.

Many people have commented how mischievious my whole family is. I pulled a prank on DH without even thinking twice and then forgot I had done it until he brought it up and blamed Cody.



For those of you who saw my freaky picture of the hand over DH's back, you will understand how funny this was. After I posted the picture, I showed it to DH. I had to LMAO when I saw this picture. This is what happens when you follow too close.

Someone was asking if dogs are natural swimmers. Well I don't know about all dogs but my 10 week old puppy fell in the pool today. Finn was running after Yankee and DH heard a splash. He went to look and Finn was swimming to the steps and got out on his own. Whew! Good thing I wasn't there, I would have freaked. Not sure how Finn felt about it.

My neighbour's cat (Chili) has been visiting us daily for about 3 years now. Before Yankee, he had the run of the place, napping, snacking etc. When Yankee arrived, Chili decided to make friends with him so he wouldn't lose all the perks of his second home. When it rains or is too cold, he comes here. He has slept here many times overnight. My first picture shows Chili making friends with Yankee. He would come and eat Yankee's food all the time.

I was looking through my pictures and just noticed this one. DH is playing with Finn but look above his back. That is freaky!

Well it's day 5 with Finnegan at home with us. Yankee is definitely warming up to him. He still plays a little too rough and I sometimes have to separate them. Finn is a bundle of energy, not at all what Yankee was and is like. He never stops which means neither do I. He tears around the house and Yankee gets excited and goes after him.

Hi everyone. We got back today with our new puppy. We are exhausted from all the driving since we left at 6am yesterday and got home at 4:30 PM today. I did pick up the other lady's puppy, had no problems whatsoever.



We thought we had decided on a name but we tried calling him by it and I hate it already. MY son likes a certain name, my daughter a different one and my granddaughter yet a different one. DH and I have gone through about 20 different names and still none seem to… Continue

Well, our fireworks are going off as we speak. Yankee was a little nervous at first and hovering around me. He was panting and seemed uncomfortable. I have been ignoring him so now he has gone to lay on the couch and watch me on the computer like he usually does.

It gets quiet for awhile and then the fireworks start again. I think he is getting used to it.
