Toby is fluffy and tends to look like a little black bear cub. Let him out this morning in the backyard (which is fenced) to do a morning romp. He came back half his size. That could only mean one thing…SPRINKLERS!! I thought my husband had shut them down but apparently not. And Toby came back half the size and super wet. And we all know how much Labradoodles love water. Truly cute... Makes me laugh ... (Of course, he probably ate the sprinkler head. Should go and check).

Ok. I read that dogs like to throw up but still gross when it happens!!! Just fed him breakfast and five minutes later he is in the dining room (of course - on nice comfy expensive rug) yaking!! Oh no !! Can't really handle that too well. Thankfully hubby still home to clean it up ( because that is something for them to do) . I hope this is not a regular thing. This is first time he has done this. Ugh!!

Toby is now officially four months old. We have had him since the middle of July. It is starting to get a little better. Someone had told my husband and I that the first six months is hard with a dog, as is the last six months . He is adjusting really well and I just love him . He makes me smile or laugh even when I don't want to. I guess that is why people love their dogs. Trying to teach Toby how to leash walk is always a task. He pulls, he sits, he smells everything . He is just like a little kid. He is close to thirty pounds now so good thing I have some upper body strength . But I may have to work out some more . Lol.

I had never raised my own dog. And for about a year, my husband and I talked about getting a dog for our son. We gave it a lot of thought, and ultimately decided on going with a Labradoodle . We knew going in, it would be a big commitment. I also knew, going in, that ultimately the responsibility of its care would fall on my shoulders.
