Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
First, A Happy St. Paddy's Day to you all from me and Duncan O'Doodles.
Also, I wanted to share something very dear to me....I was filmed recently for a video series that Dicks Sporting Goods is doing called "Every Runner Has A Reason". They are featuring 13 stories of runners who have different reasons for why they run. Anyway, mine is up and i'd love for you all to take a look. (warning: keep tissues nearby. it's a little bit of a tearjerker). Thanks for letting me share!

Sally, I just looked at this after reading your response about your husband. First of all, I am so sorry about your husband. I am a runner too. I started running about 4 years ago because I was very overweight. Anyway, I totally understand about running being therapy. I have found that to be so true. I have run 2 marathons also. Our times are almost exactly identical! It freaked me out. My 1st (Chicago 2011) was 5 and a half hours and my 2nd (Chicago 2012) was 4 hours 59 minutes. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that watching this video has inspired me yet again. I had to stop running shortly after the last marathon due to knee injury and have been really devastated. I just started getting back a month ago, and it's amazing how fast your endurance can go away! Anyway, you have inspired me to lace up and get out there today. Thank you for that. I'm sure your story has inspired LOTS of people! Keep that up! Therapy for you and inspiration for others. Keep sharing and keep running!
Sally the Runner, that is a beautiful movie.
That is just beautiful Sally and it's so wonderful to have a dear friend to share it with. A few years ago I decided I wanted to run our local race the "Tely 10" before I turned fifty. It's a ten mile road race that attracts thousands of people. I started training and was doing well and would have been ready, the spirit said yes, the knees said no. I do see how running is addictive and I was really enjoying it. Even now when I see someone running I want so badly want to run. So you keep running and enjoy every minute of it.
Thanks everyone! And of course good thing i discovered running before doodles...But Duncan is my other favorite therapy. =)
Sally, you're an amazing person! Thanks for sharing!
Wow Sally, that is beautiful. Isn't it amazing how a passion can turn your whole life around? And a dog can also do that. It is so special that you have Duncan in your life. Enjoy life. Things can only get better.
Awwww.....Sally, You are my hero!! This is an amazing and inspirational video. Thank you for sharing. Keep on running :)
For years I've been telling myself I was going to start running but always, ALWAYS came up with a reason not to. This is your "Pay It Forward" and my inspiration to start. Thanks!
