I'm a speech pathologist at two nursing homes, both which have fairly lenient pet policies. I always share stories about Holly with my patients and I've brought in pictures to show everyone how cute she is. Friday afternoon I found out two of my patients were going on Hospice
and weren't doing to well. I talked with the DON and got permission to bring Holly in to visit them. It was SOOO great! We ended up visiting with 7-8 of the residents, and Holly did very well. She didn't jump or bark. I was so pleased, and I think she really made the patient's day. It was also very good for her since I'm hoping as she gets older I can work towards making her a volunteer dog to visit other local nursing homes. She wasn't scared of the wheelchairs or oxygen tanks either. She really is a great dog and I'm so glad she's so sweet and so social. Just wanted to share this :).
