I am so excited. Several months ago I found out that Bailey had a sister here in town. We even used the same vet for when the girls were spayed ..and on the same day no doubt.. Anywho... I finally contacted her today and she is as excited as I am...we both just giggled with excitement to talk to each other.
We have a play date set for next week and we both were wondering...
Do you think they will know that they are sisters? Will they remember each other after the initial hiney sniffing to greet each other?
Can't wait to see what everyone thinks...

Yes, I do. Ned knows his sister. Whenever they have met they really, really play and wrestle. There seems to be a special connection. And Ned has a sad little littermate brother who is so shy. When he has seen him, he is the instigator and gets him to playing - something that little guy does with no one else.
I think they'll remember one another.... can't wait to hear the update!
Take pictures. I think they will know each other. How exciting and I enjoyed looking at all the pictures in the comments.
This is so much fun. Looking forward to the photos and a report on your time together. ;o)
Luna accidentally landed up in the same puppy class with her brother Oscar when they were 4 months old. They immediately got into SUPER rough and excited play and were having a great time... With other dogs, both of them were much more reserved. I think they did recognize each other and they were super cute together.
Stuart's full brother Beamer lives in Atlanta and we are planning to go up in March to visit my dd. We are hoping for a play date and I know that they'll remember each other!!! I can't wait to see your photos!
Bexter met his sister when they were about 4 months old, and I felt like they knew each other immediately. They were VERY mellow around each other whereas he would always get so excited around new dogs. They sniffed each other & then immediately just laid down right next to each other. I was so touched that I immediately regretted not getting littermates. I thought it was the cutest thing ever! I have a picture of them together.
Cooper and her siblings seemed to have no reaction to each other when they met - however, they were in a parking lot with about 15 other doodles... Us parents, however, knew instantly who were siblings!
For sure they will. When Gavin was a puppy he met his big half brother, a golden retriever and they bonded instantly. There was a second unrelated golden there too and there was a distinct difference. His big brother let him drink his water, win at stick tug and Gavin followed him everywhere (like a puppy) it was really very cool! Here is a picture (do you see the family resemblence?)
