Ok, I don't even have my first doodle yet, (9-4-2009 I will), and I ALREADY want another one! For my second doodle, I want a "red" or "caramel" doodle. I guess a caramel is just a red with a pink/brown nose. Please correct me if I'm wrong!! And for size, min-to-medium. I'm already starting a "special" savings account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE Ned's size. He is a small medium at 17" and 27 pounds. He is apricot but looking more "gold" than red lately. His nose is black and eyes are dark. I think the caramel is apricot not red, but with the pink nose and lighter eyes. I would love another doodle just his size.

Hey there, I know what you mean. I have a black golden doodle and a tan golden doodle. I just looked at all of the pictures on the front page of the chocolate doodles, and now I have to have one!!!!!! Doodles are sooo addicting. I live in Indiana. Does anyone know where I can find one???? I live on a farm, so room to play is no problem.

according to the Australian "gospel" true reds have black noses as do apricots. Rose noses belong to caramels, browns, and some creams and chalks. But in the sun some browns certainly look red, etc. Here is a site that goes into more detail.Colours I have a cream and caramel both with rose noses. the caramel has lightened a lot with age. Two is definitely better than one but I do have to stop at two although I still look at the puppies.

As you can see from muy picture, I have two doodles as of march. it is the first time in thirty years of dog ownership that i have had two dogs, because me previous dogs were terriers and were not friendly with other dogs. My first doodle, the red one, loves to play with other dogs, so the decision to get a second one was really based on her personality. My two now get alonggreat and are best buddies. By the way, Mattie couldn't be more red if she tried and she has a rose nose. So, I am not sure how she wouldn't be a "true red" .

We got our second one 6 weeks after the first. Ella (first) house broke Harry and showed him the ropes. Ella had really bonded with us, so over attachment to each other not a problem. I am glad we have two!
