Lilly got a new house for Christmas

Lilly turned 7 months old on January 2, 2012.  We finally finished the cottage and have moved in. I was concerned about how Lilly would cope with new surrounding since she has been in one house for her whole life. I had nothing to worry about. She acted as if she always owned this place.  We put up her bells on the door and she rings then to go outside. No accidents so far. When it is her time to go to sleep, she just goes in the bedroom and hops up on the bed. Doesn't matter if we are still up, she just goes to bed by herself.  Not much difference from 6 months to 7 months in her development. She minds more and is a joy. She had to spend more time in the crate with craft guys coming and going and she did just fine. We did not go to Florida this winter since ther is still so much to do to settle in the cottage. Luckily, Nebraska has had beautiful weather this winter.  We are on the list to get a baby sister from the same mom and dad as Lilly this summer. It will give Lilly someone to play with and well because we are idiots and have already forgotten those first few hell days with Lilly unless I read my blog.

Congrats on the new place!  You are hilarious!  It is just like with giving birth & having babies, huh???  I think we all tend to forget those first few "hell days"!!!!  This made me totally laugh at loud because that's the way I feel about myself - a real idiot.  I'm sure I have no business wanting another puppy so soon either, but they're just addicting and irresistible!  Keep in touch!  I can't wait to hear about the adventures of Lilly and her new sister.  How neat that you are going to get sisters from the same parents!  I am going to get a sister for Bexter too (I think she will be going home in May - getting bred this weekend)!  I am very excited!

My heart sank when I read the title of this blog - I thought you gave up Lilly and sent her to a new home!!  Man of man, my heart can't handle these things!  Congrat on your move.  Glad Lilly is handling everything in stride.

Glad the house is finished - yeah!!!!  I love that Lilly just goes to bed.  You are so very brave - no way and I ready for another one.  Bruin may be an only child.  My battered arms and hands are still healing!  Nice to read your update.  (can't believe our pups are 7 & 6 mos old already...weren't we just "impatiently waiting"!!!)
