Little dood is recovering this morning from his traumatic snipping yesterday at the vet. He seemed to know something was up yesterday morning when I took him out to my mom's car; she was taking him since I had to work. He didn't want to get in her car and then when they got to the building he didn't want to get out of it. When we picked him up last night he was still woozy and unsteady on his feet but he walked along glued to my side, not really sure what was going on. We got him home and Clifford looked at him as if to say "Hey, there is a no return policy on doodles, what is he doing back here?" Little dood, on the other hand, has just wanted to follow Clifford around like a lost puppy. They both want to be close to me so I'm keeping very toasty warm as the flurries are flying in Michigan today. He has not been licking, we are trying it without the e collar since I will be home the rest of the week, and he has actually been content to rest - even though Clifford has chosen today as the day he would like to run and play with him!
My husband and son have said they could live with Finn (Finley or Finnegan) for a name which means fair haired in Irish; I've been trying it out on him but he answers better to Little Dood - although answering is not a problem since he is not usually far away from me. We've never had such a hard time deciding on a name!
As long as the two doods can come to terms with living together, I think this little boy has found his forever home! It's hard to believe it's only been a week and a half, we haven't even hit the two week mark when our fosters usually settle in; this little guy has been comfortable here since the first night...when he started to sneak into my heart.
