Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

While my family was in Florida in December, we met up with Ann, Mike, Sheba and Duke who were also vacationing in Florida. They are such nice people and I really enjoyed our visit. We met at a dog beach and let the dogs run around and swim a little. Now we tried to get a picture of us and our 4 doodles but of course it was a difficult task.

My granddaughter Mylissa fell in love with Duke and asks me about him all the time. Here are a couple of pics from the dog beach.

Linda & Joanne, you guys are great and I really enjoyed meeting you and your families! I hope to meet up again someday!! I wish I could have heard the conversation between Mike and Mylissa and seen the expression on his face when Mylissa was doing her cartwheels and splits!!!!!!!! OMG to funny!!!! He's commented on that discussion with Mylissa a couple times. He enjoyed her! You have a wonderful family Linda and your grandchildren are precious. Yankee and Finn are beautiful and so much fun watching them play together. Here is a couple shots.

Hi Mom!!

Another dog beach to check out is Bonita Dog Beach in Bonita Springs, Florida. Bonita Springs is on the Gulf side close to Naples, Just Google it! It is a really nice beach and can be accessed by boat also. What I like about this beach is that there is only one way in or out. It was easier to keep an eye on Duke who tends to wander. It has tidal pools to play in as well as the shoreline which has a very gradual drop off into deeper water so dogs that don't like to swim can still play in the water. It has the most beautiful sunsets too. I have some photos in an album on my profile of Bonita and will soon be adding photos of our mini romp with Linda.

Great photos! Looks like you all had lots of fun. Your granddaughter is beautiful! Wow, that's a long drive from Canada - glad you made it there and back safely, especially with all the storms that were happening.

Debbie.....The dog beach was near St Petersburg and is called Fort Desoto Paw Playground. Depends where in Florida you are going. You can google dog beaches and find one if this one is too far. Here is the link.

Adrianne......... Mylissa is 8 years old and a real chatterbox. Ann's DH is very shy but that didn't stop Mylissa. She chatted him up and showed him her moves etc. Too funny!

She couldn't get enough of Duke. Here's another pic.
