Please welcome our new Doodle Son - Stuart***UPDATE

UPDATE  Exciting news and some of you have a good eye because this was part of a message that I got today.

DOB:  7 week old- Golden Doodle Pups - 4/5/11 - ((Sophie --the Mother  - AKC Golden Retriever  & Henry -  AKC  Reg.  Standard Poodle ))  Note:  Henry looked like a doodle due to his lack of poodle hair cut.

SO STUART'S DADDY IS FULL POODLE WHICH = more doodle!!!!   LMAO!!!!  We loved him already when we thought he might not be too doodley but of course this is very good news.  So now what is he?  Not a reverse F1b.  Is he an F1?  I get him tomorrow at 10:00 - for now I am pooped from driving 10 hours.  I need and deserve a glass of wine.  And now I know his birthdate!  This just so darn wonderful!!!

I just received the nicest email that said that they "saved" Stills for us!!!!  They just thought that if I was willing to drop everything and drive 10-11 hours tomorrow that he was meant to be ours!!!!  If we had gotten Crosby or Nash we were going to leave his name as is but I simply do not care to call our puppy Stills and had always thought that Rooney's brother would be named Stuart.  So here is Stuart Cunningham.  Thank you each and everyone for all your kind thoughts and encouragement.  Doodle Kisses means that world to me and I am going to need you all more than ever now!  I'll post pictures when I have him in hand!  I'm just crying with JOY this feels so right!!!!!!!!!!!!  Get ready Rooney - life is about to change!

I am in LOVE with Stuart!!!  He reminds me soooo much of Hunter as a baby!!  Hunter's mom was the GR and her dad was the standard poodle.  I love his name, but I am so partial to Rooney's name being my youngest daughters nick name (Kelsey = Kels-A-Rooney)!!

Ned is alpha at our house and the only dogs who every roll him are the herding dogs at dog parks who think he is a sheep or something that needs herding.  Ned is 27 pounds and Clancy is now 67.   Clancy did accidentally bowl Ned over once at a dog park.  Ned squealed, flew and got up and continued the chase.  Ned is boss in all things and if he is done wrestling or zooming, he gives Clancy a warning growl and they are done..

Stuart is an F1.  Of course we all loved him when e thought he was a "reverse" F1b.

Again congratulations!!!

Calla outweighs Luca by about 18 pounds. When they do their war play she's always the one who ends up on her back!

Jane, you're definitely going to have just about the same size difference as Guinness and Murphy.  I will tell you that you'll need to start some training with Stuart as soon as he's ready.  My two guys usually play just fine, but there are times when Murphy gets too rough, and doesn't stop when Guinness gives the "cue" that he's had enough.  That's when I have to step in and stop the play.  I can now give Murph a verbal correction from across the room, and he'll stop his harassment.  When they're outside and loose it's more difficult, but we're making great progress with that now too.  When my guys were puppies they were great together....the rough play didn't start until Murph was a little older and "feeling his oats".  In spite of this, they're really bonded and want to be together....all the time.  It will all work out.  Also, from the very beginning you may want to establish some food, toy, bed boundaries.  I didn't do that right away....so I had to backtrack a little later.
