UPDATE  Exciting news and some of you have a good eye because this was part of a message that I got today. 

DOB:  7 week old- Golden Doodle Pups - 4/5/11 - ((Sophie --the Mother  - AKC Golden Retriever  & Henry -  AKC  Reg.  Standard Poodle ))  Note:  Henry looked like a doodle due to his lack of poodle hair cut. 

SO STUART'S DADDY IS FULL POODLE WHICH = more doodle!!!!   LMAO!!!!  We loved him already when we thought he might not be too doodley but of course this is very good news.  So now what is he?  Not a reverse F1b.  Is he an F1?  I get him tomorrow at 10:00 - for now I am pooped from driving 10 hours.  I need and deserve a glass of wine.  And now I know his birthdate!  This just so darn wonderful!!! 

 

 

I just received the nicest email that said that they "saved" Stills for us!!!!  They just thought that if I was willing to drop everything and drive 10-11 hours tomorrow that he was meant to be ours!!!!  If we had gotten Crosby or Nash we were going to leave his name as is but I simply do not care to call our puppy Stills and had always thought that Rooney's brother would be named Stuart.  So here is Stuart Cunningham.  Thank you each and everyone for all your kind thoughts and encouragement.  Doodle Kisses means that world to me and I am going to need you all more than ever now!  I'll post pictures when I have him in hand!  I'm just crying with JOY this feels so right!!!!!!!!!!!!  Get ready Rooney - life is about to change!

Donna - this cracks me up!  I've been saying to other people that their dogs are so "Quincy" as our new word and now look - I'm getting a Quincy look a like!!!!  They DO look like the same only different age.  I love love love it!

Darwin is an f1 doodle too... he is about 64lbs. Rooney is going to have a big little brother!

[Nancie & Gracie Doodle]

Gracie Doodle is an F1 Standard Goldendoodle. Her mother was an Apricot Standard Poodle and her father was the Golden Retriever. She is now 4 years old and has been steady at 70-75 lbs for two years! I love every ounce of her too!!! Stuart is going to be a switch from Little Rooney. I don't think you will be taking him shopping like you do with Rooney. It's a little hard to get a full grown Doodle in the shopping cart. But we take Gracie everywhere we can that has out door seating when we go out to eat in the summer! Gracie is fun to sleep with too. She is like a giant body pillow and I can spoon her like crazy!! So happy for you!!

I'm kinda in shock thinking that he could be so large - but we have had english labs before that were bigger than that so all will be fine.  Maybe Rooney can ride on Stuart - lol.  I think I better not let Stuart start sleeping on the bed though or dh will come on and find no room for him!  ALD's are different than goldendoodles so I feel like I have a ton of learning to do about coats etc.  Rooney rarely mats and looks best when not brushed.  I think Stuart is going to be a very Quincy dog.  Oh - and the house that I'm picking him up at - next to the Govenor's Mansion.  Not exactly the low rent district - should be interesting.

He is in fact an F1 Goldendoodle. .. I love his little beard coming in already.. Have a glass of wine for me!!! I am so excited for you..

Jane, my first doodle, Tahoe, was exactly what Stuart is with the same parent breeds (an F1 with mom being a golden and dad being a standard poodle).  He grew to be about 75 lbs and we were beyond crazy about him!  Unfortunately, his life ended too soon, and after 3 weeks of mourning, I got another one!  Knox is an F1 with his mom being a poodle and his dad an English GR.  All I know are F1's!  Stuart will probably be a huge baby like Knox -- 65 or so pounds of sweetness!

Yay!  What wonderful news!   Rooney is going to LOVE having a brother!!  Can't wait to see more pics and read more about the new addition.  Congratulations!
