We have been experiencing massive puddles in our bedroom. We ruled out our Maltese Rescues because the size of the puddle was too large for such a little dog.
The blame fell on Holly who was the only dog large enough to make such a large puddle.
Holly has been completely house trained for over seven years and we couldn't figure out why she reverted to this puppy type behavior. We brought her to our vet for a complete physical work-up with no physical problems identified.
Anyway - we just learned that when we had the grass pulled out next to the sliding door of our bedroom, a sprinkler from the ground cover was hitting our sliding glass door. Due to the drought, we only water 2x weekly and we often have the door closed.
However, we have found that it was the sprinkler, not Holly causing the puddle problems.

Oh, that is funny, and sounds like something that would happen around our house. No puddles, however, and no watering the yard areas either. Harpo did come back to the house (don't know how he got out) with something in his mouth and Charlie discovered it was a tiny kitten. We may hear about that one.
Poor maligned Holly. You bad parent, you! :-} Shame, shame. I see a treat of some sort in Holly's future.
Poor Holly, I hope she got a special treat by way of an apology. :)
Holly is probably saying, thank goodness!!
Pretty funny.
That's so funny. Sounds like Holly got the last laugh and hopefully, lots of treats!
What a good ending for Holly!
Poor little scape goat. I'm sure she got a lot of extra love after that.
At least we know Holly is nice and healthy! We had a similar "wrongly accused" situation when our ice maker was leaking-not our lab as we first thought!
