Remission!!!
Thank you, thank you thank you!!! All of you here on DK have been so wonderful and supportive over the past two months.
It was so nice that even though I have never met any of you, you were there for me. Having leukemia is not something anyone could say is lucky however since I learned I have it, I have realized how truly lucky and blessed I am.
My appointment at Sloan Kettering yesterday went very well. The Dr. said that all of my numbers are in the normal range. I can go back to being a normal person. That was when my DH said she wasn't normal to begin with. My numbers are in the remission range so tech. I am in remission but they need to stay that way for a few months for them to Officially say remission.
I get to go back to work on Monday!!! I get to see those little faces again! I can't wait. The only down side is Achilles will have to go through Mommy withdrawal.

I am So Happy to hear that your counts are back in the normal range and that you'll be able to go back to work!
MSK is a great hospital...and you're fortunate to be able to go there for your care.

OH! WHAT WONDERFUL NEWS! I am soooo happy for you. And even tho' this has been one crazy week for me at school, I KNOW that being back at work is going to be the best medicine for you! I'll bet they'll be ecstatic to have their teacher back! So sorry for Achilles, but he'll learn to share you again! BEST news I've heard in a loooong time WooHoo!!!
