The Book I Made My Nephew

[Camilla and Darwin]

As many of you remember from here, I made a book for my nephew that had photos of him and Darwin doing things together. Well, photos edited to make it look like they were doing things together. :-) Anyways, I gave it to him over Thanksgiving and he loved it. Here are some photos my sister sent me of him reading the book after they got home. Also, the front and back cover. I had a hard time choosing the page and cover colors! I was trying to make it colorful and fun in a kid like way, but I'm no expert in that department. I think he liked it though!

Shelly, the title of the book was "Darwin and Wes" and the subtitle "All of the things they like to do" the captions were along the lines of "They like to ride in hot air balloons together" "They like to go to outer space together" etc. So kind of a simple theme of them doing stuff together.

Yeah, Camilla!!!  You do GREAT work!  You are one very creative doodlemom... from cakes to books!  So, what was the 'theme' of the book?  Just Wes and Darwin pics?  whatever the theme - it looks great!!!  I think you could to that for a business!  I know what you mean by being separated from many on DK... there's not many people from Long Island either... but I think there's at least 2 or 2 more than in SLC - LOL

Susan, I wish we could meet sometime too! It's so nice to have great friends here on DK. I just wish I lived closer to... well... anyone? Everyone? LOL. SLC seems to be kind of a dry well for dog owners. I think Darwin and Sasha would have so much fun playing too. :-)

You can see how much he loves it right now; I am sure he will treasure it always.  What company did you use to print it? I want to begin collecting pictures to make a book for my granddaughter.
