I had read previous posts on here about the Tug-a-Jug, so I knew i didn't want the rope tug-a-jug. So I ordered the tug-a-jug from a online site that showed a picture of the rubber tug-a-jug (i think it is rubber). To my disappointment when i opened the box there was the rope tug-a-jug. Do I send the rope one back and keep searching for the rubber one? Which one holds up better, and where would i find a place that sells the rubber one? I read on here that someone suggested Amazon.com so when i went there their pictures showed the rope tug-a-jug.

PLEASE HELP!!!

This is the tug-a-jug I am looking for.

Thanks.

I got this for Gus and Bear 5 months ago and it's still together and Bear's a big time chewer! Their favorite treat toy is the Kong Wobbler and it's really sturdy. It took me a long time to find the Wobbler found it at me local feed store I don't think it will ever break!

I bought the green one from Target..Wilson chewed the rubber stem the 2nd day in half..but the stopper's still in the jug and he has to tip it to get the treat so keeps him busy still. Didn't take him long to figure it out. The plastic jug is very very durable. I know he would have chewed the rope one right up. Hope this helps : )

I have heard from others that if the rope gets destroyed, you can put a ping pong ball inside which still slows the release of the treats inside. I've had no problem with the rope but Penny doesn't chew on it either.

Lucy and Sophie have the rope one. It has held up fine for them, but again, they aren't that hard on Toys. This one is pretty funny though in that in order to make it work, Lucy wants you to hold the jar for her. So you fill it up and give it to her and she brings it back for you to hold while she tugs on the rope to get the treats! I've not seen the rubber one anywhere.

I wish I could help Barb. This is like the one I saw at our local pet store. I will see what the general consensus is before I purchase one. It sounds like this one is easily breakable and wouldn't hold up to my Sheba's jaws???

I thought these were suppose to be good, I read a lot of positive reveiws. I guess it just depends on the dog... sorry your's didn't last longer=(

Ours lasted about 5 minutes if you're counting keeping the rope in one piece. Calla still gnaws on the top, though.
