Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

For several reasons today I was excused and sent home early! YEAH. Happily escaping through the parking lot I approach my husband's huge van when it occurred to me that the keys only fit the ignition not the door.

Luckily where I work they will break you in for free but it takes a good 45 mins some days. There I stand dejected for a good five minutes. So much for getting to leave early.

So there I stand, and stand, and pace, and stand, and pace some more, as I watch for the patrol car. What luck.

Suddenly, right in front of me a dog not 2 inches away lets out a bark from the car next to mine. Good grief, I have been here all this time, this close, and did not see a dog! If the window were down I was close enough to pet him/her.

A nice yellow labradoodle said in a labradoodle kind of way, " You can stand here and talk to me, I'm lonely too."

Big Brown Eyes and a Yellow Coat :) What a cutie.

I left a note on the windshield. Maybe the owner will join us someday.

On another note: How many dogs have I met in parking lots this year? LOL

The other parking lot dog stories.

But the poodle wheaten mix would be a kind of doodle wouldn't it? A Whooldle.

I love that story, and it makes me feel much better about the day I left a note for the parents of a random doodle at Callie's daycare, about joining DK!

"Hunting other Doodles"...yes, I know it well. We dropped our son off at a basketball game tonight and in the distance I saw a woman walking what I would swear was a Doodle. I said to DH, we need to catch up to her and introduce ourselves. Well he informed me that last week he also saw her when he went up to the game with our son and he "chased her down" to find out about her Doodle. I was completely shocked that my DH would EVER do this. As it turns out, it wasn't a Doodle at all. It was a Poodle/Wheaten mix. Beautiful dog that looked just like a Doodle. Yes, we go to any lengths to track down another Doodle. I was never like that with my other dogs, but then again they were more common breeds. Doodlemania is pretty intriguing.

I love how all of us doodle owners can't resist introducing ourselves to one another! Every time I have come across a doodle, either their owners or I go up to say hi. Of course, the doodles have a great time playing too!

At least you had a doodle to pass a little time while you stood, and stood, and paced, and stood, and paced some more. With my luck there would be some strange person sitting in the car giving me creepy looks!
Be careful in those parking lots girl!! :))
