Need a two inch attachment comb for my Andis Ultra Edge Clippers

Recently bought Andis Ultra Edge AGC Super two speed Clippers. Also got a one inch attachment comb but want a longer look. I only sizzored cut Jake my labradoodle that died about six months ago. Now we have two Goldendoodles and thought maybe I could speed up the grooming process by getting clippers. So even though I cut Jakes hair for nine years I never used a clipper. Little nervous. It seems like the two inch attachment combs are a little hard to find. Does anyone know where I could get them…See More

Profile Information

About Me:
I have been married for 31 years to my husband George and I have a son that goes into High School next year! Amazing how fast time goes. I love my family very much and we love our Doodles. We got our first Labradoodle in 2010 and named him Jake. He was a beautiful full sized cream labradoodle. People would stop and pull over to ask what kind of dog he was. That was back before everyone decided to also get a doodle. He had a wonderful nine years with us. Best dog ever!!! We lost him recently and miss him so much.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We just got two new little Goldendoodles. After loosing Jake we couldn't go very long before we broke down and found us some new puppies. Found a awesome breeder only twenty minutes away and they had about five puppies ready for a new home. I have been wanting a miniature Goldendoodle for years. My husband absolutely is a big dog kinda person. So since we couldn't reach a agreement we did the next best thing. Got two doodles! One of each! So I brought home my miniature apricot Goldendoodle and named her Kiki. My husband and son choose a chocolate full sized Goldendoodle and named him Levon. Never had two puppies at once. Handful and a lot of work. Fun work though. In the end I know the rewards will be big with two well behaved dogs. So excited to finaly have two doodles at once!!!!!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I think what started me looking into the breed was wanting a dog that did'nt shed.We have had German Shepards in the past and though we loved them dearly not so much all the hair that ended up all over us and the house.Wow!!!What a sweet treat in the Labradoodle.Ended up with this great dog with all this hair but none on my family! And of course also choose this breed because such a good family dog. And what a Pal he did turn out to be for Tommy, they are best friends.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Love to take long walks and go to the park.Play fetch in the back yard.Jake loves to go for rides in our Durango,if the door is open while he is outside Jake will be jumping in the SUV.Love laying on the couch with Jake watching tv,won't need a blanket this winter!
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?

Favorite Doodle Products?
Les Pooch Brush,Pig Ears and Bully Sticks

Jake

Posted on February 17, 2019 at 2:57am 7 Comments

With a saddened heart I have to say that my beloved Jake passed away a few weeks ago. He was taken too soon from us for he was only nine. But those nine years he lived like a proud prince, He touched so many people and so many people loved him. And he knew it. I can take comfort knowing that he didn't suffer. Actually was healthy as could be. We think his heart just couldn't keep up with his body or he had a stroke. He was fine one minute and the next just went limp and fell off the couch.…

Jake is two years old now.Jake has transformed into a wonderful polite male labradoolde. When he was younger he did all the bad things, jumped on our guests, pulled while being walked, play biting us,terrible at staying still while being groomed.Of course we trained him but he always had this wild side that we could not settle down. But as I watch him sometimes I can't believe its my same Jake.He still has his excited moments but have to remember he still is only two.So all you people with young…

Thanks Shelly....Banjo is a "mini"....um....but he's grown to a full 52lbs!   I think most would call him a medium!   I wanted a 30lb'ish dog....oh well!   We love every pound of him!

Hi Shelly,

It's nice to hear from you. :-)

I hope you are enjoying the winter that we are "not having"....my doodles are saying where's all the snow! - but I think we're supposed to get some today. I was just over at the Walmart there in Canal Winchester on Gender Road and I couldn't believe how warm it was outside.

Re: Face brush:

Well, I seldom use a brush on my dogs face, but when I do, I use the regular-sized soft Les Poochs Yellow brush - unfortunately, we are sold out of the Yellow brushes right now - there are more coming in a few days. But I think you could just use a regular comb such as the 7.5" Anti-static Xylan Comb as seen on our "Grooming Tools" page. We also have it available in a smaller size 4.5" if needed, but Jake is a big boy so you probably would not need the small one. These combs also work well for removing the yucky goop out of the corners of the eyes (at least with my doodles).

Thanks for your question, Shelly.

Have a great day!   :-)

Yes they do look a lot alike!  Where did you get him?  Is he fixed?  We haven't gotten Darby fixed yet & have been considering breeding her!  Yes she also loves going to work with me.  She obsesses over the pastry display sometimes though!  She loves snickerdoodle cookies.  lol

Yes...that "Dreaded Coat Change" is the worst!!  Ugh!

I'm sure he'll be fine though.

I give Sasha something to chew on during that time...and talk to her throughout...with a small treat or two as a reward.

She went through that coat change time...and I tried to keep her long too...but eventually had to have her cut down.

It was the best thing I did for her and really for me too.

Now...I really can't believe it...but ever since her coat grew in...she doesn't mat at all!!!

I don't understand that...BUT...I am Not complaining!!  Lol...

I'm keeping her at about two inches...and it works well...especially since we live on a lake and she loves to be in the water.

I'm scissor cutting her...and it's going quite well.

I love that we can keep one another posted...

Hope you have a Wonderful day!!

Oh...and don't forget to send Hugs from Sasha...
