- Katie is my first doodle. She's a miniature f1b goldendoodle. She's a total sweetheart. I also have Maggie, adopted from DRC in 2018. She's my sweet girl. She's supposed to be a labradoodle, but she is very poodley.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder, Rehome
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I love the way they look. And I love that beyond grooming they aren't physically altered in any way.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- The dog park, but not just any dog park. Our favorite is a 53 acre off leash area with hiking trails and lake access. We love to go hike and then Katie likes to swim.

The Evolution of Maggie

Maggie’s a different dog than any I’ve known before. It’s been 9 weeks that she’s been here, and we coexist peacefully. She’s doing perfectly on her potty training when I’m home. Going to work is still a major work in progress, and I haven’t found the perfect solution, but we’re working on it.

I swear I do not live in the country! I live in a suburb very near the center of my town. It’s not a huge town, but it’s definitely not the country! And it’s far more developed than the subdivision I moved from a year ago – maybe that’s the problem. There was more room for the wildlife to be out in the woods. Oh my gosh! I LOVE the patterns. I bookmarked the page, hoping that I can resist. Which ones are you ordering/thinking of ordering? I really love the henna, the paisley (purple best), and the floral patterns. Now that you have three, you get that you can't always get these cool things when multiplied by three. They are cheaper though so.......

We also found that when our Springer ate fish- based kibble, he had fewer ear problems. That is purely anecdotal.

Somehow I read your post about Katie's ears but I can't find it now to reply. LOL Here is a suggestion that could at least give her ears some 'air time.' Using a soft scrunchy, pull her ears up in a pony tail. This give them some time to dry out. Another suggestion is to have her groomer shave shorter on her head under her ears. She doesn't have to be shaved bald, just closer so that the ears also have some room to breathe.

Stacy, your Doodles are beautiful! I also have my puppy's mother. Daphne was my first Doodle and a year later, Lucy was retired from breeding and needed a forever home. We just love her to pieces!

Hi! I saw your comment on buying bras in bulk! lol
I am no expert, but look at how you react to the 'thief' when you find her. What worked for us, was correcting our pup as soon as possible, with a 'NO' and putting an appropriate toy in his mouth. We worked on the command 'drop it' as soon as possible too. They are curious little pups, and they love a good game of chase. It could be she just enjoys your attention when you find your bras. We used to have a parrot, and we learned that negative attention is just as good as positive attention.
it sounds like she might test you on EVERYTHING in the house. And as they grow, they find more interesting things, but most of all, just want your entire focus, and will do things just to get your attention!! teaching independent appropriate playtime is a chore, but well worth it. being consistent is the key to success!! hope it gets better
