The boyfriend and I are going on a cruise tomorrow! We don't have any family or friends here in Texas to watch our dogs while we are away, so we've reserved an outdoor run for Hops, since he loves…Continue

I just found this on Hops' nose. Should I be worried? Looks like he was bitten by something and the skin on top fell off. When I touched it, it felt like a mosquito bite. …Continue

My doodle, my other dog AND my cat all had diarrhea within the last 12 hours! The cat was the first one to get it, and the boys had it this morning. I am about to head to work, so I am wondering if I…Continue

Step 1: Teach your doodle how to "open" the fridge. I did this by rewarding him every time he touched the towel (or rope), then every time he held onto the towel with his mouth, and finally only rewarding him when he pulled on the towel. This is easy if your dog likes to play tug with you.
Step 2: Get a toy bottle similar to the one pictured below:…

Before leaving the apartment today, the boyfriend and I made sure the place was "dog-proof". Ipad, kindle, phones, purses, etc. were all out of a dog's reach. Approximately an hour later, we came home to a living room covered in tiny plastic pieces, which turned out to be the PS3 controller, and pages of torn paper. I instantly dropped to the floor and starting cleaning, without saying a single word to Hops, and he ran straight to his crate and stayed there until I called for him. How did he…

Happy Birthday Thuy! Hope your day was wonderful and lots of fun!
Happy birthday, Thuy! Please post more pictures of Hops soon!
Thuy, Thank you for the lovely Christmas card. OMD...your dogs are so darn cute and you are beautiful! Loved all the photos. Merry Christmas!!
I think I would also be distracted by Hops - how could anyone not be. But if he is a registered therapy (or service) dog, at least you would have an excuse to bring him to school once in a while. The secretary at our school has a registered therapy dog and I made her the guest of honor in the Chinese New Year's parade at school. She and her handler led the parade and were dressed in red and gold robes. The kids were also in costume and carrying banners. It was the year of the dog, so very thematic. He will be a wonderful therapy dog whether you use him at school or elsewhere.
Welcome to the Educators group. I have a question for you. Is Hops a registered therapy dog? If he is, you may be able to take him to school with you. My friend, who was a school principal, took her dog with her frequently and he would visit classes with her. He then went to doggie day care for the rest of the day. No problem because he had a therpy vest. Worth checking out.
I thought so! You did that amazing video of training Hops to do tricks. One of my all-timne favorite videos and I am in love with the Aussiedoodles. My next doodle will be an Aussiedoodle.
Happy Birthday!!!! We hope you have a fantastic day full of fun and celebration with family, friends and of course.... Doodles!
