While visiting Grandma, Sydney and Olivia scooted their butts (one or two times) on Grandma's nice carpet.  Grandma did see that one time and thought our Doodles did that because of an itchy butt.  We even noticed a skidmark one time and quickly cleaned it up so Grandma didn't see that.  Grandma has no knowledge of anal glands and neither did we before our Doodles.  Should we fess up?  We're afraid the Doodles may not be welcomed back.  What would you do?

I'm not sure what I do in that situation, but thanks for putting a great big smile on my face this morning!  "Grandma has no knowledge of glands" and "skidmarks" ---  So. very. funny
What grandma dosen't know, won't hurt her.  Get the anal gland problem resolved and then the doodles won't scoot anywhere :)
She's probably better off not knowing.....
You cleaned it up - let it go.
As a grandma, I would want to know so that if I saw it I could tell you there is a problem with her anal glands so you would know to take care of it. I am a very pro-active grandma though.  Grandma cleaned up after her kids, she won't mind cleaning up after her grand-doodle. Test of true unconditional love. Now if she just had her nails done and her carpet is $$$$$$ and has to be dry cleaned then you might have a little problem. lol.

This is so funny.  Reminds me that my Mom was telling me yesterday that her little Great Granddaughter Emma (she is 6) asked her this week to watch her little puppy while she goes to Tennessee in a couple weeks to see her new baby cousin.  After Mamaw agrees, Emma tells her "But you are gonna have to pick up some Poop"!

It really isn't always about Anal glands.  The first time that I took Sophie to the vet for this, her glads were fine!  Not sure why she was doing it.  I hate it when they do it because of Poo though ..... I guess it would depend on how Grandma is going to feel about knowing!  As long as you cleaned it up, possibly what Grandma doesn't know won't hurt her!

Sorry, butt (get it - ha ha) I'm for fessing up.  A dog butt swipped carpet is a nasty carpet - even if you don't see anything.  I know you say you cleaned it up but unless you used the proper cleaning agent, or a steam cleaner - it is still nasty.  Grama will still love the doodles.
I'm laughing but if you cleaned it up I would keep that info to yourself :)
Don't fess up, it will only bring trouble!
NO NO NO NO  what she doesn't know won't hurt her!  HONESTY is not always the best policy.  I do not feel this way about damage done. I would never cover up if my doods chewed and ruined something, but scooting - and it if you cleaned the area - no problem.
Do not tell!!!
If there are any human grandbabies that might crawl around on that carpet, it might be the most thoughtful thing to be sure it is cleaned up.  Some people even walk around barefoot in their homes.  Yeah, clean is best. Don't know what to suggest, but I'll bet she is a nice Grandma and would understand.
