Camus got hold of a blue gel ink pen and within no time he had blue ink all over his face, tongue, paws. I called his vet and they said not to worry as long as he had not ingested any of the pen. He did not, but now how do I clean him up? Any suggestions?

OMD.....I was so surprised to scroll down and see this sweet blue face....and paws!!!!   Poor, blue boy!   I hope you find something to help....I'm sure this is one you'll never forget!
My daughter's white lab did pretty much this same thing - only with RED pen.  The red came off Lucy's mouth and feet pretty easily.  Different story with the living room carpet - it now has fairly large red spots coving much of it :(  I just called her to suggest that she try hairspray.  It may be too late, but it can't make it worse.
I think he looks absolutely precious!  Speaking from experience.....our Bindi (pure white maltese) got into a blue ink pad and needless to say looked like a smurf!  Kyle was in diapers at the time and I remember using baby wipes on Bindi and it came off....granted, it took some time but they worked .  I remember as I thought it was a bit scary that the baby wipes I was using on my son were strong enough to remove ink! LOL You might want to try a blueing shampoo as well but honestly....it's going to just wear off and what a story you'll be able to tell LOL
Oh sweet blue Camus. How we love you!

Poor Camus! I had to laugh as soon as I saw his photo's. You could try Dawn dishsoap...it's mild enough, not sure how well it will work to remove ink stains. Also, we had gotten a tip from a professional rug cleaner to remove small stains on your carpet. Take some shaving cream and rub on and rinse. I've done this to spot clean area's where someone has spilled. It does work, maybe you could try it on Camus too. Good luck!

Camus is trying to do a rocker look with his blue.  I say don't do anything, it will grow out.
Blue Man Group just called....they're looking for their dog.

Do you think he might have been going for some blue suede shoes?

I can only laugh now, but DH and I both said it is just a matter of time before our Bella finds a pen and does the very same thing. We hope at least it looks as good on her as it does Camus.
Oh Camus, you're just too cute.
Christine, I know this might sound weird, but I would try milk, not skim, but regualr old milk, my Mom used to take ink stains out of our clothes etc. with good old milk.  Might be worth a try, but he looks so cute, and I asgree, it does fit the winter blues, and it is so cute, poor baby...He is adorable, blue face and paws and all...
ROFL! Love the photos! No useful suggestions here... :-)
