Zachary went to the door last night (8.5 weeks) so I took him out even though it seemed too soon based on the last time he went out. He went straight to his potty spot and pooped. I was sooooo thrilled but thought it was a fluke. Too soon - he could not have figured this out in 4 days. Well I took him out this morning, and he did his thing, about two hours later he went to the door and I took him out, and the same thing, he went to his spot and pooped. I think he knows that he is expected to poop outside! He is amazing!!!!!

That's awesome!! What a smart little dood!
Woooohooooo!  Good doodle baby!
That is awesome!!  Make sure you keep showing him that you are SUPER excited when he potties outside (especially when he lets you know that he has to go).  You don't want him to get bored with it or anything since he is still so young.  I bet there are plenty of new puppy parents out there who are really jealous of you right now!

Yeah, that would be me :) Ha, no Maggie has definitely figured out that the bells mean go outside. Now we just need her to get go outside, do your thing, not free for all play and hide in the bushes. :)

That's exciting for you Cindy!

raising my hand  as a new jealous puppy owner... kudos.. very exciting.
What a good smart puppy!
You should be a very pleased and proud doggie mama!
What a smart boy!

I sure am proud of him. A bit exhausted, I've been getting up every 3 hours during the night with him when he cries, but that is probably helping since he is not having the opportunity to go in his crate. At least he goes right back to sleep after he does his business :-).

Gosh, he is a smart puppy! This is Day 13 that I've had Zeus (5 mos. old) and this morning, for the first time, he stood by the door and barked to go potty. He previously showed no signs of needing to go out. Luckily, Hercules has been letting me know. Zeus apparently learned the "potty signal" from him.

I can hardly wait to hear what else Zachary learns during his early puppyhood. I'll bet he'll be doing tricks in no time. Please keep us updated.

What a good puppy!!
This is great!  My oldest doodle was trained in 5 days, but he was a little older than 8.5 weeks!
