Thank you to the thousands of dog people who read, prayed, and reposted, re-shared and passed on the missing notice about the boys.  Thank you for all of your prayers, they were felt and that good karma was a help to a positive ending today.  The local news crew called and were going to come out and do a story about the two missing Therapy Dogs, and were relieved to hear they had been returned home.

Thank you to everyone who assisted with getting the word out: Kate Pappas, Twyla Pyles, Traci Kearny, Leslie Tannebring, Pam Bowen and all of the many Facebook, Doodle World, Doodle Kisses, Doodle Zoo members who sent their well wishes.

A BIG thank you to Art Cardenas the Good Samaritan who found and kept the boys safe through the night and who brought them back home in the afternoon.  From the gentleman this is the pieces of the story of Noble & Charley’s Walkabout:  Sometime around 2:00 am Art was out looking for his poodle dog who also escaped his yard when he spotted his dog and Charley and Noble with him and he also said they were almost hit by cars so he wanted to take them home to keep them safe until he could figure out what to do with them.  He could not believe how well behaved and so well-mannered they were while in his care.  He fed them, watered them, and kept them safe!

Art decided to take the dogs for a walk – without a leash – to see where they would go and hoped they would lead him to their home – well that is exactly what they did.  Pam had just arrived at the house so we could start passing out missing flyers and I was out a few doors down getting the Sheriff’s number so I could call them to file a report.  She saw that big yellow bushy tail of Charley’s and yelled “there’s the dogs down the street” and started calling them.  They ran right too her and Art was behind them watching the happy reunion in the middle of the street.

After talking with Art about what transpired during the 12 hour period they were missing and offering him a reward for bringing them home- he said he had not expected anything but that he wanted to PAY IT FORWARD and give the money to his cousin who needed it.

So to look on the good side of this the positives were that people will check their gates and put locks on them, everyone who read about the boys Walkabout will hug their dogs just a few seconds longer tonight, and doing a good deed for someone will bring positive rewards into your life so that you can pass it on and PAY IT FORWARD to someone else.

From the bottom of my heart – THANK YOU!

Such good news.... what a kind man to watch out for them and take care of them.  So happy... and yes, Shelby's getting a few extra long hugs tonight!

Hurray!

I am so glad they are back home!

So happy to hear this! We have our address and names and phone numbers on both of our dogs tags in case we were lucky enough to have a good Samaritan find them and bring them home. Murphy's also says If I'm alone, I'm lost.

What a great story, with a happy ending.  So glad they are OK.

Great news!  A happy ending!

What a blessing to get both your doods back safe and sound!  So many times we hear these stories and they don't have such a happy ending.  Me thinks that there were angels with those dogs that night!!

So happy to hear this news!!!!!

I just love a happy ending!

Thanks to the good news, everyone slept well last night....Welcome home boys and no more "walk-abouts"...our hearts cannot stand it...
