Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
So we had a great road trip to Atlanta - the boys buckled up in their car safety harnesses - such good travelers - Rooney in his car seat and Stuart, snoozing the day away on the 2nd row seat next to his brother. Friday morning we excitedly got ready to make the trip to Jo and Beamer's house - a 40 minute drive through some beautiful areas. We arrived right at 11:00 and there was Beamer standing in his back yard - what a handsome dood!!! Jo, her DH Jack and their daughter Julie were there to greet us. The weather wasn't all too great - kinda cold and windy but that didn't stop the boys from having a great play date, even Rooney got in on the action. Beamer had been beautifully brushed that morning and was just as cute as a doodle can be, plus he has the same sweet playful nature as Stuart. I'll tell you - I want to snatch cuddle that boy! Did they remember each other? Who can say but it was an instant romping, not the prolonged sniffing just instant play - they ran to each other. Rooney seemed a bit confused by Beamer who he did sniff and then seemed to just not understand why he looked like Stuart but wasn't Stuart. I hope that we can get together with Beamer and family again - thank you Jo!!!! I am so happy to know that both our boys came out of a horrible situation and are both so loved in good homes.

Just makes me smile - lucky dogs.
such cute photos!
Jane, Stuart and Beamer are lucky dogs to have landed in such great homes!! Little Rooney looks so cute in the picture. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure. The resemblance is amazing!!
These are great looking doods...and wow, they do look just the same. My Sam has his littermate Penny in town and Luke has his littermate Elton in town, as well. They get together a lot. The doodles all get along, but it's different between the littermates. I can just tell that they know they are siblings. They didn't forget, and the really, really love each other. I used to say that I thought Sam regarded me as the lady who takes him away from his sister.... Luke also responds to his sister Chloe that he's been able to spend time with recently. It seems like he remembers her, too. I call it the YAY factor. The littermates just go nuts to see each other in a way that the other dogs don't seem to do.
I cannot get over how much these guys look alike though. How fun!
Twins! Ned and the siblings he has met, also had instant 'recognition' - they must remember a common smell or something.
Catching p on this, what a wonderful reunion.
How sweet!! I wish we had littermates close.
Huff has never seen his littermated as an adult dood. I don't know where any of them live. :(
