Yields 6 dozen
1lb lean ground beef
1.5 cups rolled oats
2 eggs, beaten
1.5 cups water
3 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix together the beef and eggs in a bowl, using your hands if necessary to mix completely. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the oats, then gradually mix in the beef-egg mixture with your hands until mixed thoroughly. Add water to form a sticky dough.
Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for 3 minutes. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness, using more flour if needed and cut into desired shapes with a cookie cutter. Use a greased cookie sheet, and bake for 80 minutes. Allow to cool in oven for several hours, then store at room temperature for up to four weeks.
Snickerdoodlepoodlepoos: 3 cups flour, 2tsp cinnamon, 1 egg, 1/4 cup honey, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup water.
Preheat oven to 375 f. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Roll into balls (about 1" each). Using a fork, press down on the balls making a decorative effect. Bake for 18-22 mins (these treats don't spread wile baking so no need to worry about spacing them) and allow to cool.
Plumpkins: 3 cups flour, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/2 tsp ground ginger, 1 egg, 3 tbsp applesauce, 3/4 cup canned pumpkin, 1/2 cup water.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine all ingredients throughly in a bowl. Spoon mixture with a tbsp and place on cookie sheet. These cookies will not rise or flatten so press it down before baking. Bake 18-22 mins or until golden brown, let cool.
Ohm my these are good: 2 cups flour, 1 cup canned pumpkin, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 egg, 1/3 cup water.
Preheat to 350 F. Combine ingredients until a dough forms. Roll into small balls and place on cookie sheet. They do not spread while cooking so they can be close together. Bake 20-25 mins and cool.
Dragon slayers (for bad breath): 2 cups flour, 3 tbsp applesauce, 1/2 cup dried mint, 1/2 cup dried parsley, 1 egg, 1/2 cup water.

Cheese, Please!: 3 cups flour, 1 cup shredded low-fat cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, 1 egg, 1/2 cup water.
Preheat to 350 F. Combine all ingredients to form a dough. Roll our the dough on a floured surface. Cut out into shapes. Place on cookie sheet (they don't spread or rise much). Bake for 20-25 mins, let cool.
Im assuming alot of these recipes can be made with chickpea or potato flour so they are grain free
has anyone made the dehydrated sweet potato jerky style treats. I see them forsale but are so exspensive for how easy it must be to make. bonus your carpet wont smell like beef.
