Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Heather Woodland recently joined Doodle Kisses, but she and her beautiful doodle Cujo have been well known and loved for some time now on other doodle forums. Tonight Cujo was hit by a car and did not survive the accident. Please leave a note of condolence for her and her family. Leave your thoughts here and not on her profile page as that may fill her email up and she is not ready to talk to everyone at this time. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

We would like to send a gift to the Woodland family in this time of grief. If you would like to contribute any amount within the next two days, we will use that to purchase a token of our care for them. `````UPDATE--we have raised a sufficient amount to do something nice for the Woodlands. Thank you to all who have contributed.

Below is her slide show and I'm including it as a tribute to her much loved doodle, Cujo.
He was gorgeous, patient, awesome with her kids and an important part of the family. Heather's youngest daughter and Cujo were best of friends.

Our hearts go out to you Heather and we send our warm thoughts and hugs to you and your family.

Heather -

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It is obvious that Cujo was well loved and was a real part of the family. My heart goes out to you...

Kathy
Heather....I am so very very sorry.
Oh, Heather, my heart just breaks for your family. Cujo was positively gorgeous and from your slide show, I know that he was a beloved member of your family that will be sorely missed. One of my own dogs was hit by a car on Thursday while my husband was in surgery.... I am so very sorry for your loss.
Oh, Heather - I am just stunned at the loss of your beautiful baby! Cujo looks a lot like my Quincy - color, but his hair is straighter. He is 3 years old, and just a crazy silly boy - but I do love him. Although he is one of 5 "kids" - doodles just have something about them that make you love them all the time - not just some of it (if you know what I mean!). I hope that another doodle will come into your life when you are ready. I am an executive director of a no-kill animal shelter, and I see this type of thing each day. It is heartbreaking. But, we bring them into our life - make them part of the family and love them until death. The unfortunate ebb and flow of life - but his went way too soon. I know that this time of year is to be filled with joy - but the pictures of Cujo's slide show is such a lasting tribute to a wonderful boy and will bring you many smiles in the years to come.
I am so, so sorry to hear of this. It just breaks my heart for you and your precious family. What a horrible loss! .

Valerie
This must be so sad for all your family.
Your dog looked like he had a great life with some amazing photo memories.
((((((((Heather and family))))))))))))) I will be saying prayers for you and your family and please also accept my deepest heartfelt sympathies.
May god somehow find a way to comfort you and your family and watch over Cujo at Rainbow Bridge
OH there are no words that ease pain, only words to express how sorry i am for your losss.
Heather.......there are no words that I can say to take away the pain you and your family are feeling right now. I would like to give you and your family condolence from our family. To lose Cujo in such a tragedy is the most difficult and I will not say I know what you are going through because I really do not. But I do know how it feels to lose a family member like Cujo. Our family has lost 2 of our family members within this past year. Please know we all are here for you and send our love and sympathy to you and your family.
Heather,
I feel for you. We lost our Labradoodle in the same way, it's incredibly painful. Time will heal.
I am so sorry.

Hugs,
