It sounds good but mine is delayed this month.  It was set to ship on May 1.  Chewy says it was shipped a couple days later but only one box has made it to the UPS facility today.  It's scheduled for delivery on May 8.  The other box is still in limbo.

Obviously, this is not the biggest problem in the world but I will be annoyed if I have to go out and buy dog food.  I thought I had enough to cover a gap but when the dogs were boarded and we were on vacation, they evidently ate more than usual.

Oh, I totally understand certain foods not being available in your area. I'm lucky that I can buy every brand we recommend at a store within 15 minutes of my house. :)

Sometimes it is worth the drive!! I drive 90 minutes to get my guys Acana. I go every three months or so and pick up four or five bags at a time. It costs me gas, but I live in a rural area and can't buy it any closer. The lady that runs the store has it set up in the front two rooms of her house and truely loves dogs, all of her foods and treats are great quality and nearly all on the DK recommended brands list.

We've had positive experiences with Chewy.  Early on, we received a shipment that was missing a toy (Marvin the Moose--the kids had specifically chosen him). They were exceptionally nice when we called, and Marvin arrived within two days.  We are on the east coast, and our food shipments come within a day or two of the expected arrival.  We have very limited choices in our area, so we just make sure we order food with plenty of time to spare...

I use Chewy.com for my Orijen.   They're wonderful and the food arrives 2days after I order it.  One time I was suspicious that the bag arrived without that vacuum packaging and I sent an email to Chewy telling them my concern.  No problem, they sent me out a new bag that same day.   It's such a convenience to use this site as there is only one specialty store in my area that carries Orijen and not all the "flavors".  I also like the fact that it's so easy to change the delivery dates or delay an order.  Love it.

I just started using Chewy a few months ago. I have plenty on reserve at all times so a delay would not bother me. I have changed the ship date twice now and that hasn't been a problem either. I can not get Fromm in my immediate area so this is working well for me.

I did place an order through Chewy, a couple of months ago - but the order took forever to get here and then the following order/autoship simply did not 'take'.  I had to do a hurry to get food.  Then I tried PetFlow and the order came quickly, but again the autoship was not in the system, despite the confirmation.  So I can easily remove them from my links.

I shop local and if I can't get it local then I either go Amazon or get in the car and drive.  I don't like the local shop that willl order for me if they don't have the size bag I need - two trips instead of one is not ok with me - nor do I wander the streets.  I call and verify, there are gobs of stores around and it's not convenient.   I do not need any additional stress in my life and finding food for the dogs is definitely not something I'm going to stress over.  In spite of limited space in my house I now get the replacement bag when current bag is half gone - no point waiting until last minute.  These two go through a 28lb bag once a month, approx, so I'm saving sanity instead of cash and it's worth a lot more to me.

Give Chewy.com another chance.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.  As a matter of fact call them and tell them of your bad experience with the service  and willingness to give them another chance  and I bet things will be different.

I completely understand the not needing any additional stress.  I feel the same way and what works easiest is best for me. :)  I love the convenience of managing my Chewy.com account  to suit my needs as far as delivery and the fact that I don't have to go out and lug those bags of dog food home is wonderful.  Good luck.

I have always had good luck with chewy.com when it came to ordering products.  I decided to put the dog food on autoship since they are $12 cheaper then Petco.  I ordered the food on a Tuesday night and didn't receive the bag until the following Wednesday a full week later.  What happened to most items delivered in 1-2 days?  I'm not sure I like this autoship thing and I didn't save any money because I ended up having to buy a bag at Petco to hold the boys over.

Taking over a week for delivery was my experience too, with my first autoship order from Chewy. We also had to buy an additional bag of food at a local boutique dog supply store when we ran out of Oscar's food and DH was shocked at the outrageous price of a small bag of Acana. It totally offset the savings of going through autoship with Chewy. I didn't cancel the service though, but I did reduce the weeks between orders to accommodate the long delivery time.

My order gets here in two days.  I wonder if location has anything to do with it?   Again, I'd call them and tell them you're order is taking a long time to get there.  Have you ever ordered the food without it being on auto ship?  Did it still take one week?

I quit using Chewy because it took 7 -8 days to arrive depending on the day of week I ordered.  I order from Amazon Prime, get the food in 2 days and free shipping.  Hard to beat.

Mine only took a couple days once it was shipped.  The problem was that it left Chewy's facility 5 days after the scheduled date.  Maybe for autoship, they consider the date an estimate?  Maybe ship when it is convenient as opposed to new orders that go out the door immediately.

I'm going to stick with it and just plan for the delay.
