Hi everyone, I want to know what kind of brush you use on your curly haired dog. The one we're using seems to pull Finn's hair and while he's very patient with it he doesn't seem to like it very much. We're brushing him every couple days with a wire toothed brush. What do you use that works well? THANKS!

I use a purple, double Les Pooch brush and a metal face comb
Ditto on this for Lucy and Sophie. Sophie hated being brushed until I got the Les Pooch and now she just stands there. I cannot say enough good things about this brush. There is no way that I would be able to keep LUcy over an inch long if it weren't for this brush. I can feel a big ole matt on her leg, and with just a couple swipes of the Les Poochs it will be gone. I Love this brush. I use it almost daily for just a quick brush out, and then once or twice a week I use it really well and then hit them with the metal comb as well.
Lucy and Sopies Mom - Can you tell me specifically which one of the Les Poochs brushes that you use. Our Hudson has a VERY THICK wool/fleece coat. Thank you...Hudson's Mom (Nancy J. Grindstaff)
I used to use the green LesPouchs on Ned but his coat is longer now and I have gone to the purple. He has a VERY thick wool/fleece coat. We also use a graduated tooth steel comb. I have a cheap rake that I use some but it can't be used regularly because it isn't thorough enough.
I have tried several, and have found Les Pooches to be best - I currently use the yellow puppy one. Its the only one that seems to work and that Cooper will let me use! I also recommend using a metal comb after brushing

From experiance, instead of spending tons of money on many many brushes to find one that works, just go for the Les Pooches. It is expensive, but you will end up spending that much + to fiind something that will work. Works wonders and Lucy loves to be brushed with it. Yes, check out the many many discussions on this.
I agree. We have 2 Les Pooches brushes for Agnes... the red mat zapper and the purple larger brush for all over use. They work wonders!
I've got the Les Pooch too. The brush does the work for you.
I have heard that the 16mm Chris Christensen brush is really great. I have bought a couple "inexpensive" options that don't work, so I agree with everyone else. You will spend less money in the end to just get one that is nice and works well. I'm going to buy one soon.
I have the LesPouchs slicker brush for Ned and also one by MGT that was quite cheap (on line). They are both flexible and have bent "tines" - that is the only way to go. You also need a steel comb.
Thanks everyone! I ordered a Les Pooches brush. I can't wait to use it!
