Nicky..50 is the new 40...
Your puppy WILL keep you healthy and fit. Since I've had Lucca (2 1/2 years) I walk 3x/day. Sometimes I have to drag myself to do it if it's raining or cold but I know how much he (they, now that I have Izzy too) love to walk and I look at it that it's only 20 minutes out of my long day. A short time to give your furry-friend enjoyment and fitness for you. It's a win-win for both of you. Enjoy

I have no problem to admitting to being over 50 ( 50 is, after all the new 40, isn't it?) I'm waiting for my puppy which is due in April and should be with me end of May. I'm looking forward to having a bigger dog to share all those walks I take on my home trying to keep fit.

IMO...3's a crowd. We have Lucca and Izzy.....2 /12 yo and 5 month old. We also used to watch my son's girlfriend's Golden Retriever 4/5 days/week. I stopped doing it because 3 dogs were overwhelming me. Now he's (the Golden) only over 2 nights a week and doesn't sleep here. It's much saner in this household. It could be because Izzy is still a pup but...it's hard to walk 3 dogs, lots more poo:(, it's hard to give 3 quality attention...... On the flip side, I know there are many on DK that have 3 and LOVE it!!!!

I'm thinking about another doodle .That would make three. I was inquiring about the guardian programs. Does anyone know anthing about them? Pros or cons??? OR am I nuts to have another????
