Cheryl, this story feeds my soul. Thank you for sharing it. Yes, you never know who you are going to help. Thank you and dear Finn for helping another helper. And I love that he gave back by blessing Finn.
Took Finn on hospital rounds tonight. I was pretty tired and thought about canceling but It really brings some happiness to the patients. Just as we were leaving, a chaplain came out of the emergency area. He looked really beat. It couldn't have been good. He asked if he could spend a moment with FInn and he knelt down and petted Finn and then laid his head on top of Finn's. They sat there like that for awhile. Then he blessed Finn and thanked me. You just never know who you're going to help.
I received a call from our local "library lady" a few weeks ago asking if they could "book" Fozzie for lunch at their November "Booked for Lunch" program. The focus would be the uses and benefits of a therapy dog along with information about becoming a therapy dog team. So as I'm putting together ideas I would like to have some interesting books to be able to share with the folks who come, not just training books. I did get on line and have a list of books that look interesting to me but wondered if any of you have some suggestions of books you've read that you would recommend to people interesting in learning more about the wonders of Therapy Dogs (or cats, horses, rabbits, etc).
Congratulations Dee Dee & Bentley!
BG -- super photos of Gavin. Love that he has lots of fans :) Have to say that we have met a number of DK friends in person, and each time it's been like we've been friends for a long time. DK is full of the most interesting, fun and caring people!
Thanks F and Charli! We are hoping to upload some student photos this week.
What great pictures. Way to go, Gavin....you are such a cutie and your mommy should be so very proud!
