Samantha passed both her CGC and Bright & Beautiful Therapy tests! Just waiting for the paperwork from B&B to start our visits. Very excited!!

I'm helping with our Therapy Dog Training Class this summer. The next class is tomorrow night. I'll ask the Instructor, who is also a Delta Evaluator.
I suppose for Delta, it might depend on the frequency of the seizures and if there are any warning signs prior to the seizure. Delta talks a lot about predictability.

I don't know, probably depends on the therapy dog organization. I would ask TDI, Delta and any local places what their policy is.

There is a group Hope Crisis which I know operates all around the US and responds to different crisis situations. There is a chapter here in VA. I didn't see a sight for Omaha but you can maybe contact the Rocky Mountain Region and see if they've expanded. I know that they went to New Orleans, the World Trade Towers, VA Tech shootings, etc. Let me know what you find.

BELLA just turned one and passed her third and final on site observation. She is now an official REGISTERED THERAPY DOG! She did so well......and she seemed to connect most with those who were critically ill....it was very interesting!! What a blessing this is for everyone....a win win for all!

I'm excited. Went to my first meeting to get involved with an actual TDI group in my area. In August we're going to start with the reading group for kids. I know Fergie is going to make a difference in many peoples lives and I'm so happy to share her. She really is the joy of my life at this time. I am so lucky.

We are a long way from taking the therapy dog test, but Mandy will graduate puppy class next Thursday. We had our sheet of directives last night that they needed to do and she did them all on the first try. I was proud of her since it is difficult for her to concentrate completely in Petsmart. She has July off and then we start intermediate training in August. Hopefully she will be ready to take the therapy dog test in Feb or March.
