Jane, maybe Sherlock could go to senior centers, and nursing homes and Noah could do the kid thing. :-)

Congratulations to Hokie, Hollywood, and Kahlua!!!!! The more therapy dog teams the better!!!!!!!!!!! Continued good luck if you going to start the visitation part of getting registered with TDInc. My dog, Oliver, was very young but did extremely well during the visits. I had doubts, but he seemed to sense what he was suppose to do at the facility, and then continued to act like a puppy at home! LOL! A few no- nos during the visits would be jumping up, barking, and going to the bathroom. Exercise your dog before the visits. A tired dog is a well behaved dog! You will enrich many lives with your canine companion!

Congrats Linda and Hokie, Jersey has yet to get her CGC. The nursing homes I go to don't require it, but I plan on getting it when the weather is a little nicer.

Hokie and I passed our CGC test and the Therapy Dogs Inc. test yesterday here in Richmond, along with 1 other doodle, Hollywood. The tester had several to test that day during a very busy Pet Expo at a local Garden Center. We passed with flying colors amongst all the other dog chaos. We are now looking forward to our 3 visits!

Congrats to you too, Kahlua. Your mom SHOULD be proud of you. Your a doodle with a cause and that's doodlerific!

Okay, I admit I am gushing, but I just had to boast about my little girl. Kahlua passed her Therapy Dog Inc testing today with flying colors. With each observation the residents couldn't get over her soft fur, long eyelashes & loving demeanor. Of course, she just sucked up all the attention & would have sat still for hours if it meant getting her head stroked. I can already tell this is going to be a great new experience for both her & me. I am so glad that our golden-hearted dood now has a "job". If everyone had a dood, I think the world would be a much more peaceful place.

Connor will be completing his Advanced Obedience course in 4 weeks. Our instructor has been working with the dogs (all doodles in our class) every week on preparing for CGC and Therapy Cert. Since Connor adores kids of all ages, I thought working with them would be a very good thing for him. Our childrens' hospitals here (Richmond VA) require Delta certification. I have been told that unless you go through the Delta training classes, it is near impossible to pass their test. I've read their requirements and they don't seem that much different from the CGC. Any feedback??? Thanks.
