Great job AnnaBelle and Sheri!
Great job AnnaBelle!. She's so young and doing so well. That's awesome! and it's great that your library allows her in for training.
So proud of AnnaBelle today. We have been using the local library as a training site. She has been a little nervous when out without Lucy. However today the place was packed when we arrived. We weren't able to just go and sit on the floor in the corner like we normally do because of all the kids there. We chose another spot and before we even got our blanket down and ready the kids were already surrounding us. I was worried that she would be a little overwhelmed, but she did amazing. She didn't back away from anyone, adults or children. She gave kisses, took treats, layed quietly. There was one little girl that was particularly interested in her. Her Mother does pet sitting for various people and the little girl loves dogs. She kept telling me that she wanted to be a dog trainer when she grows up. All of a sudden she said "I need to get some books" and off she went. She came back all excited with three books. One on my dog needs a job, one on how to talk to your dog and the other on picking a puppy! Great day all around. I think there is hope yet.
In terms of documentation, the facility where you take your doodle can write a letter confirming the hours.
Paz is a registered Pet Partner therapy dog and has the AKC Therapy Dog title; I will be applying for the ThDX title as Paz has logged in excess of 200 visits over the last three years.
Yes, Ron. Eli, the weimardoodle, does has the ThD title and is about 5 visits from getting his ThDA title. AKC, effective July 1st, will offer five levels of Therapy Titles. The AKC counts the number of visits not hours.
Here is the list of titles and number of visits that will be acknowledged, if the dog is registered with AKC Canine Partners.
The AKC Therapy Dog (ThD) title (awarded after 50 visits),
AKC Therapy Dog Novice (ThDN) - Awarded after 10 visits . AKC Therapy Dog
Advanced (ThDA) - Awarded after 100 visits . AKC Therapy Dog Excellent
(ThDX) - Awarded after 200 visits . AKC Distinguished Therapy Dog (ThDD) -
Awarded after 400 visits
To apply for a title or learn more about the AKC Therapy Dog program,

Does amyone have there AKC Therapy Dog Title for mixed breeds? We are a Pet Partners Team and not sure what to send in to document hours. We have 110 hours in a kittle over 1 year.
Thanks, everyone!
Laurie --what a lucky bunch of students! Good job, Wally!
